cbarbagallo: Drama queen.

Seriously, dude. A bit of an overreaction?

Coelocanth: I don't think it's a 'drama queen' situation. It's been a full month since the game was released and the official forums have been down for longer than that. Very likely the vast majority of people are finished playing the game and have since moved on to something else.

The Witcher/CDPR fans are still going to hang around the official forum when it finally is up and running, but CDPR had them anyway. What they're losing is the new audience and the likely significant amount of people that may have not already been Witcher/CDPR fans and could have become hardcore forumites. Those people will likely move on now and not look back.

So yes, too little too late for a lot of players.
That could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, depending on what way you look at it. =)
We can only speculate why a triple A dev like CDPR can't get a forum up and running under a month after release. It's weird, I admit, but it's not priority. Patches are priority, and there's no small amount of issues to be fixed in the game. Plus they are doing a console port, which stretches resources even further I suppose. Maybe they lack organization, manpower, etc. I sure as hell don't want to wait months before they get the game from what seems like a pre-beta build to a proper finish. The forums are the least of my concern.

I seriously doubt that the same people doing the game are the same people doing the web site,,,,,,,,,
Well, I'm here instead of at thewitcher.com and I'm really liking GOG and have bought games..if not for the witcher forum being down I probably wouldn't be here much at all, but here I am coming here multiple times a day

So if it was a marketing decision, ..it worked on me :D

Welcome to gog.com!

You can check out any time you like but you can never leave ;)
As I have expressed earlier, I too am liking it here.
GOG forums are fine for what they are. But, we have no moderation or sub-forums. Also, I would imagine more involvement from CDPR.

Unfortunately, it is starting to seem that they have no intention of reviving their forums until the Xbox version is ready. I hate to be so cynical, but what else could be the reason at this point?

That's how I feel about it, too.

Sure it's nice to have a forum where the game can be discussed, but the presence or lack of any "official" forum doesn't affect my enjoyment or troubles with the game one bit. The Internet is a big place.

Honestly, the lack of moderation proved to be a good thing though. The sub-forums however are really missing.
This is getting ridiculous now. CDPR needs to work on their communication to it's customers.
Are they up?

No?

Hmm, though so,................

Marcin360: We are working extremely hard to bring forums back online as soon as possible. It should be back any day now. I will keep you guys posted. Once again, sorry for the delay.
How hard can you be working if it takes still more than 30 days to bring back the forums?

I'll bet when the forums will come back... Soon after the first run sales for TW2 are completed.
Wieeeeee forum... oh it was only a dream :(

Posted on may 18th, more than a month later nothing has changed.
I have a bad feeling about all this. The forum is still missing, the lies about it coming back, now Gop leaving. No facts, just doesn't feel right.
