plan99: Thanks for bringing this up again. I've been wondering this, too. The last link is my post that you inspired last year with the previous batch of Beamdog bundling. I posted my letter to Hasbro (as a template - people always think someone else will do it, so I tried to make it easy) and their reply + other info in the hopes of getting others to do the same - no one ever said they did.
ValamirCleaver: This was exactly the reason why I posted this again; people like to passively-aggressively bitch, whine, moan & complain on GOG's forums. While some may feel some strange form of catharsis from doing so; do they really think that doing just this is going to have any realistic chance of expressing their opinions to those that can ultimately affect what they wish? Do they honestly think that throwing a fit on GOG's forum will get the original games unbundled?
You speak most loudly to for profit companies with your purchases and/or lack of therefore. You convince a for profit company to acquiesce to your desires by having an extremely large amount of like minded individuals directly communicate clearly & concisely in no uncertain terms that you will not be patronizing the company in any way, shape or form. You give a list that you will not be purchasing any Magic the Gathering, Duel Masters, Avon Hill, Diplomacy, Risk, Axis & Allies, Dungeons & Dragons, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Nerf, My Little Pony, Play-Doh, Clue, Chutes and Ladders, Baby Alive, Cranium, Battleship, Candyland, Furby, Blazing Team, Bleyblade, B-Daman, Bop It!, Connect 4, DropMix, Easy-Bake, Catch Phrase, FurReal, Guess Who?, Jenga, Kre-O, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Jurrassic Park/World/Lost World/Land, Disney Junior/Princess/Frozen/Descendants/Playmation, Hero Mashers, Monopoly, MouseTrap, Mr. Potato Head, Memory Game, Operation, Playskool, Simon, Scattergories, Scabble, Sesame Street, Sorry!, Marvel/Avengers/Spider-Man, Star Wars, Super Soaker, Taboo, Game of Life, Trivial Pursuit, Trolls, Twister, Trouble Game, Yahtzee, etc... items. You inform them that you will communicate to everyone you know of the same. How many have bothered to directly contact ther IP holder regarding this?

I never saw anyone post a WotC "blah, blah" reply anywhere as Stig79 suggests (not calling you a liar Stig79, but the burden of proof is on the plaintiff - claimant, in this case).
ValamirCleaver: Hence why I asked for a direct, independent, verifiable, unbiased citation. If one refuses to provide proof of one's claims it undermines one's argument.
No need to provide that link to the letter is it? Since it has been proven that Beamdog have the DISTRIBUTION rights.
Which was basically what I said I remembered that letter said anyway...
Remember this little mess? Look who had to remove the game from sale. Beamdog. WOTC didn't pull it from any of the stores. It was Beamdog. Know why that is? Because Beamdog has the distribution rights....they can sell it any way they want.
Since they have full distribution rights for the BG franchise....Guess who decided to remove the classics from the stores, to give their own versions all the spotlight?
