Stig79: Those aren't made to work on modern systems like the GoG version is, though.
No, but they allegedly work in modern systems.
From Q&A:
Question: Does it run on Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), and, if so, how well?
Answer: It runs very well on my system. I have Win 7 Ultimate (32-bit) SP1, P4 3.0 gig, 4 gigs RAM, HD-4670 with 1 gig Video RAM. I would not know about 64 bit Win 7, however, but it runs well on a 32 bit Win 7.

I have the same system. No glitches and it worked smoothly, at least for me.

I loaded it onto my Dell Inspiron laptop which has Windows 7 Home Premium. I have not finished the game yet, but have found it to run smoothly and have not had a single glitch.

Question: Any idea if it will run on Windows 10?
Answer: I have it running on Windows 10. It crashes occasionally, but I imagine it's probably how much it crashed back in '99.

It should run in win10 but you might need to patch it to improve the resolution. Search online for mods and patches.

I have my copy here and it says Windows 95/98 pentium 233 or faster, 32MB RAM, DirectX 7.0(included), 8Xcd-rom drive.
Recommended: 64MB RAM, DirectX compatible 3D video card with 16MB on-board RAM, 12X cd-rom.

Don't bet on it, it will, but with tweakage and a following breeze, I am not there yet

Not all replies confirmed it works, but it looks pretty good.
And seeing that we have community mod/patch to improve the experience, there's not many reasons to acquire PS:T EE. The classic is still fine imo.
