I'm afraid that such an intervention would require changes in the code (aside from creating larger versions of the UI) and that is something we are not able to do:-(
It's another we can't do it post

Want fixed character animation? - We can't do it
Want better ui sizes for larger monitors - We can't do it

I know i posted this in a number of other threads but this sounds like a poor execution on the developers part, the game has been in development for years? atleast i believed it's been in beta aswell. Yet so many things are starting to appear yet the developers can't fix them because shock horror code needs changing. Now i've been looking forward to this game for ages but things like ui changes, character animations should've been looked into and beta changed ages ago. At this current time and due to the developers response and having trouble changing game codes i don't recommend buying it.

Developer team don't exist anymore. They fell apart shortly after Czech release - but also after extensive testing and debugging. Game still contains some bugs, but all game-breaking stuff has been fixed, and I can guarantee you they wouldn't solve animation or UI issues anyway, it's just too much work for a game which development has been stretched to 12 years.

I personally don't understand the importance of those problems
Yes it would be good to have more, but thats not what the game is about, and it certainly isn't breaking my immersion.

Sucks to have your values I guess

The animations problem, no biggie, that's true - and developers opted for simplistic animations in the first place, so they wouldn't have fixed it anyway. But scalable UI is pretty big - unless you have a huge screen, you quite simply can't play on 1920x1080, which is a native resolution of most modern monitors. Why do you necessarily need to play a 2D game in native resolution? I don't know, but if it's got the option, it should also provide reasonable way.

Scalable UI is a pretty big issue as Fenixp explained, aint just my values fella but it's the modern pc gaming world of today. Scalable ui is a must for an rpg such as this!
If you think the UI is too tiny, just play at a smaller resolution.

If you're on GOG, you should be used to playing games at "small" resolutions, and you should be used to "old school" practices like 2D UIs that are just not that flexible.

And sure, the animations don't look good, but they don't break the game or anything.

I find your topic title harsh if you're simply quoting aesthetic reasons why not to buy. I would recommend this game to people that I know will not "care" about such things, and of whom I know will like a good rpg setting and story. I will not recommend it to gamers who just want to see the prettiest nastiest next gennest 3D engine.
low rated
I don't want to see the latest next gennist 3d engine, that's just taking the piss... This isn't a good old game, if i was playing diablo or baldurs gate i'd expect what i'm getting but this is a new release, in the years they've had the game i expect things like bigger ui for bigger resolutions.

I said i wouldn't recommend in it's current state, and my 200+ followers, massive load of forum members will be told as such.
high rated
Oh that is good, ignore the good aspects and bash the engine that has actually been coded sometime around the year 2000 by just a few people, that's gonna show those pesky indie developers to spend less time on quality content and more time on technical side! Dude, while I agree it's a problem, it's solution just requires reducing resolution. That's like 3 clicks.

And, heh, don't get me wrong, but if your 200+ followers ignore a game because you dislike hi-res scaling, it's not a game for them anyway :D

Except that it isn't a new game. Game was originally released 2009 ago in Czech language and development (according to original release notes) took 10 years so it began around 1999 - 2000. It took them (2 people I believe, what's left of original dev team) three years to translate.

The game is definitely still worth buying.

Small interface is nothing new in gaming these days on the high resolutions screens we get these days. It is especially noticable on high def small size screens. I have a 15 inch 1920x1080 screen, I mostly run games at 1600x900 to make things readable.

I would like all developers to take into account having scalable interfaces but it is hardly worth skipping the game because they are not providing one.
It is a great game for the price. After all, it is an "old-school" RPG.
Deciding not to buy "in current state" is like saying "Don't buy any games on GoG that look OLD and have no support for scalable UI or don't support 16:9 FullHD etc"

I mean, seriously, how could anyone play Planescape Torment, Baldour's Gate or Arcanum, Lionheart without a scalable UI ?

Once you see Inquisitor for waht it is (a 10-year old 2D-RPG) you start appreciating more the game and become less bothered by the lack of all "modern" features expected in 2012...

Indeed. I, myself am finding the game pretty awesome. It's moody as hell.
