I'm playing Baldur's Gate 2 now. Should I feel bad for allowing my insane, chaotic neutral sorcerer to have sex with Viconia? :)
But on a serious note:
- There are people who refuse to buy a game because they have to play as a female character? Seriously? I don't think I've ever met such person...
- Why, every time this subiect appears, nobody points out positive examples of meaningful, deep, interesting female protagonists? Like, you know, The Cat Lady? :)

I suppose so. I could just leave these kind of topics open once they degenerate into flame wars and just wait until people exhaust themselves. Then again, I'd have to deal with upset folks PMing me about this or that issue regarding a hot button topic. I don't mind PM's but I'd rather we all avoided getting into flame wars.

I speak from my personal experience here when I say that this thread is likely to degenerate into such, no offense, Crosmando :)

Those are just excerpts from a speech that are taken out of context, and I didn't discover any of the things you claim in the quotations or the article. Yes, he's probably exaggerating to get his point across, and there's the possibility that he's using strawman arguments, but no more so than you do in your OP, sorry. If he's imagining problems where in your opinion there are none, then you are creating drama where in fact there is none. And a nice day to you too.
