Gokyabgu: I'm one of those Kickstarter backers who somewhat pissed off by this DRM-free version delay. Why we have to wait for DRM-free version of Banner Saga? What is the meaning of "under development"? How it is that there isn't any DRM-free version of the game? Did they build their game on Steam's system? This all seems bullshit to me. I'm waiting for DRM-free version while pirates already released one at torrent sites.
By the way I'm agree that gog must announce its' future releases early. In order to support indie RPG companies I buy their games, mostly at day one. For example I bought Aarklash on Steam after waiting 3 weeks, only to find three days later it was on gog.com.
Well, perhaps they're thinking it the same (semi paranoid) way as EA with Simcity, apply (draconian in EA's case) DRM for as long as possible to ensure sales, then when sales start to wane, essentially re-release it DRM-free (or in EA's case, just your average annoying DRM) By the way I'm agree that gog must announce its' future releases early. Most sales are in the first month of a game's release, then when the developer has squeezed all or most he thinks he can out of the game, then relax the DRM a bit.
