Sanjuro: My appetite for modding is by far more humble. I usually changed all the music in Morrowind (fancy walking through the barren ashstorm-swept plains to this song. Or battling a mighty daedroth to this. It changed the general feel of the game but I liked it.), the faces (never bothered with a more general graphic overhaul... yet ;-)).
For Bloodlines I went with that unofficial patch that let you keep the ghoul (among other things) and the one that let it run on a x64 OS.
Never tried modding New Vegas and, shameful as it is, I have to confess I never played Sims 2.

Hmmm three videos.... I'll have to watch those and give my thoughts or agreement/disagreements in about an hour... as it seems there's at least that much content.

And I disagree with a lot of the statements there. Taking out methods of finding targets like dialog directions or books and adding in a glowing marker that always points you in the right direction is not just a common sense convenience. It's a "you wouldn't read good dialog anyhow so here's where you go."

There's other examples (like how one can now master perks with an axe simply by swinging a dagger or how there are no statistics for character building outside health, stamina and Magicka) but that's simply the hardest to get over. It's merely aiming at people without the intelligence or attention span to do things a harder way, or people who lack the management skill to invest points in a well developed character properly.
and i just like oblivion much more
i find morrowind bland boring and hostile
I find Oblivion boring personally, but it's still an ok game. I just really dislike the direction overall the ES series seems to be moving toward. More COD, less thought provoking RPG.

i havent played enoughof skyrim to make my mind up about that
other then that i like the fact that you can now shield bash
something that somebody should implement in oblivion via a mod

to me a fully modded oblivion is something awesome

Pretty sure Duke Patrick's combat mod (I forget the name off the top of my head) does that. It adds special attacks like in Skyrim and special killcam finishing moves. I thought it added a shield bash too.

EDIT: Deadly Reflex and it's by Sky Captain

I'd like to here why you think ES is going CoD. Seriously, i'm not trolling. And I agree that it is less thought provoking RPG. Skyrim is super pretty but super empty. empty as in interesting characters, environments and story.
