I always saw the Kennedy's as American royalty. I mean, Ted pretty much got away with murder (literally, or maybe better said involuntary manslaughter), lied to authorities and the general public about it, got the inquest of the incident to be held in secret, and then directly asked everybody "you still want me in office" and everyone said "yeah sure!" Who else but royalty could get away with that. But, heck, I guess you gotta admire a man with the balls to pull that off...

tinyE: I don't mind drinking and philandering and scandals ete etc. I'm TOTALLY fine with that be it from royals or politicians or any celebs. What irks me about the Royals is that none of them have done anything to achieve their status. If you want to make fun of a PM or a Senator fine but know they actually had to go out and get the job. I was never of a fan of Maggie over there and I've always despised Ronnie over here but at least they WORKED. Oh it might have been counterproductive and cruel but it was still work, it required actual effort. Ronnie wasn't made President just by being born and Maggie didn't get the PM gig because of her last name. Taking it one step further, what is this curtsey/greeting the queen crap!? I will bow before someone who cured a disease or invented a longer lasting light bulb or wrote Stairway to Heaven, but if you think I'm going down on one knee just because you are good at looking frumpy, FUCK YOU!
I feel I need to counter this low rating because you basically summed up my feelings.

I feel rather let down by Kate Middleton.
There I was betting on her child being a girl and them calling it Victoria Dianna (or the other way aroung), and they could not even manage to get the sex right for me.
Guess we could always go with the French way for dealing with troublesome royals to clarify that this is just not good enough. How dare they loose me money that I so carefully gambled.

Actually this entire thread should be nixed and I deserve a beating not because of the content but because I ripped the whole idea off of the Onion who started posting ultra-sounds of the kid months ago showing it's horns and tail.
