You seem determined to undermine the efforts of xyem. He has put in a lot of work to find out if you are being targeted yet you continue to post threads that will be down repped by lots of the community. Doing so negates xyem's efforts on your behalf IMHO.

If you really want xyem to prove you are targeted by a small group of community members you should stop making posts that are obviously going to be neg repped. It's a DUH thing.

Xyem has put a lot of effort into determining if people in general are being targeted; I'm not the one who keeps bringing my name up in the conversation. I personally think he's wasting his time; it's like trying to prove the sky is blue. The system is obviously being abused; look at the fact that I've lost points this morning and I haven't posted anything today REMOTELY deserving of a derep. As it is the only way to correct it is to get rid of it which I don't see happening regardless of who can prove what.

As for downrepping: A) so long as I get to stay in the forum I don't care and B) I HAVE NOT posted anything remotely deserving of a downrep today and there are no doubt some English nobles who would beg to differ. Well, people who get offended by other people making fun of the Royal Family have problems which are WAY MORE severe than my popularity in a silly game forum. Being told by someone that they don't appreciate my cynicism of the Royals is like being told by Hannibal Lecter that he doesn't appreciate my eating habits.

Say 3 days ago there was a discussion topic I was interested in. I only notice it today. I read it and lo and behold I see a troll post. I press the "-" button. Today! Not 3 days ago when the post was made. If you post crap for one week then for one day you abstain, you will still see your rep take a hit on that day as people do not check the forum 24/7.

Actually, your post will be offensive to many in the UK as they adore their nobles . . some don't but many do. You seem not to understand the simple facts which will be awkward for you when posting on an international forum.

You OBVIOUSLY do care about your rep and are mentioned most often because you are constantly complaining about loosing rep while continuing making posts that will get down repped even to a noob. Your obsession with rep and need to constantly post neg rep worthy posts is eerily similar to GameRager?? Also your post here accusing a "4 star" community member as the possible source is also similar to GameRager. He and I had discussions about the "old timers" being his perceived enemies.

I've been neutral on the "rep log" but you seem determined to make a joke out of xzem's efforts. Now I see your posts suddenly "high rated" with nothing in the posts that would warrant the rating. Alts seem to be a work and finding your rep increasing for no reason will be just as damning as unexplained decreases.

If you want the community to side with you then you should stop giving them reasons not to.

Truthfully, I put a little effort into making a system that records the rep of those who want a record of it at specified intervals and that's all. SLOC specific to RepLog is about 25-30.

I'm not sure why some people have confused me saying "It can be used for X" as meaning "I made it to do X". I didn't even mention rep abuse in my list of reasons I thought it would be helpful.[1]

Someone else brought it up and then I explained how it could be used to highlight potential victims, then I got into an argument with yyahoo because apparently having actual numbers instead of "I think I lost some rep today!" doesn't constitute as solid evidence in their mind..

I didn't accuse him of anything. He admitted it. Ask him, he'll admit it again. I give him credit for that, he's not shy about it and I prize honesty above all else so regardless of bickering TheJoe is aces with me. As far as telling me what I do and do not care about believe what you want. As far as wanting the community to side with me you are contradicting yourself; you tell me I intentionally post offensive things (which I do) and then you tell me I want people to like me; well I can't do both, so which is it?

No contradiction - you want to be liked but post offensive stuff - which gets you down repped. You complain loudly, whine on occasion and make accusations of being targeted.

This community is self modded via the -+ buttons. It is the only way for the vast majority of the community to make a statement without being drawn into an argument / flame war and risk being targeted themselves. It works well for the majority and the result is those that do what you do suffer rep loss. I personally believe the number of folks posting daily is small with the number "lurking" to be huge. Every time we have these rep whines it seems to degenerate into the accusation of a "small group" is doing the down repping. I believe it is the entire community who is using the rep system and not a small group. IMHO at least.

Simply stop making the posts that rub the majority of community the wrong way and your down repping will stop. You will be forgiven for past mistakes . . . all is well. If you KEEP ON doing what you are doing you should expect to keep on getting down repped so stop whinning.

No it won't. How does "The Sith did it" rub anyone the wrong way? The last two times I posted that it got downrated. What about the time I posted a picture of a Pasty and it got downrated? Anyone? It's meat pie for fuck sake and I went -5 for mentioning it. Oh and I love it when this happens, whenever I post something nasty and then apologize, my apology gets downrated. That's always cute.

I'm offended by the assertion that we give a crap about them! I think the majority are indifferent. The minority that think they're wonderful are unfortunately very loud and the media tend to make a big thing of them.
