Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.

javihyuga: I had been saving money...
Aaaand its gone.
I've been saying *it's time to save* for the past week but I feel you :-)

Hard to resist such a temptation.

mangamuscle: It is ok for 2D stuff, but for any program that require 3D graphics/effects I would not recommend it. The problem is not really the hardware, but the video driver (the software that drives the video hardware) that Intel provides for those chips is quite incomplete :/
avatar
Gazoinks: Hm, that's good to know. I've actually had a pretty good time with the chip, though. Obviously I can't run Crysis or anything, but I played through New Vegas, Evochron Mercenary, and other nice-looking 3D things on it without much trouble.
Well, your chip has got to be better than mine .. I have an intel G41 express chip :)
But I have also had some good plays with some good games set at Medium and above ... Mass Effects (1,2 and3) New Vegas, Borderlands 1 , NecroVision, Area51 and even Baldurs Gate enhanced (which is not supporting integrated chips and That runs just fine) among others. Most of everything here at GOG works fine (except Alan Wake and Riddick) I even played the WITCHER with low to medium settings and it ran rather well.
I have NWN2 set at medium at 1024 768 and it is running alright ... Biggest problem with that so far is the somewhat strange camera but I'll either get used to that or figure something out ... wonder if there is maybe a camera mod or something ... but no biggy; just gotta get used to it.

rolac: Does the "Neverwinter 2 complete edition" include the in-game bonus content that was available for preorders of the game ("The Merchant's Friend") and lawful/evil editions ("Blessed of Waukeen" feat)?
Would love to know that aswell.
Dumb thing to ask (coz I think I know what I will be told) but can I get this and play multi or is it just me and the random PC players I find and add to my party?

EverettLamb: Great to see Neverwinter Nights 2 and Obsidian Entertainment on GOG.
Obsidian didn't have a choice in the matter... It's Hasbro we should be thanking for taking the next step.

If I remember rightly, you can add the Merchant's Friend and Blessed of Waukeen to your character with a trainer module. Vordan's Hero Creator is what I usually use, but I can't guarantee compatibility with the Mysteries of Westgate.

Now I'm sad I picked it up on Steam last year.

Thy sin is it's own punishment, now go forth and never sin again.
Why did the Bursar's office choose this semester to delay my tuition refund? I own 2 copies already, but I want one that doesn't have that crappy SecuRom on it. Also it'll be nice to not have to install each game separately, which was really annoying.

As soon as I get the money, I'm buying this...again...for the third time (I own all four games twice over already).
Yes! Yes, yes, yes!

Neverwinter Nights 2, Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, Mysteries of Westgate, oh my! I have to agree with those who said MotB is the real gem in this jeweled crown of a game. That expansion remains one of my most highly regarded games. And this package is truly a steal at this price. Getting it very soon.

The latest official patch removes Securom from the game. So if you have the retail discs, just install the game and let it update to the latest version and then back up the folder. That's what I did!

Which leads me back to the question I asked earlier but nobody answered yet - Are Storm of Zehir and Mysteries of Westgate worth 15 dollars? I already have the base game and Mask DRM free, and 15 is a lot to spend if those expansions really aren't worth it.
Was keeping an eye on this for quite a while now. I got NWN1 and even with that I can't seem to really get into it. Is it easier to get into this one? I really want to enjoy these type of games but I am not sure if I would get into this. Need advice if I should get this or not

The original NWN was immensely non-immersive, with all the referring to itself as adventure and all that nonsense. NWN 2 is far better in this, even its original campaign, and while it kind of drags on, it is also fairly polished, fun, and immersive experience with some pretty damn good characters in your party. Story is also fairly interesting, albeit not all that original. In fewer words, NWN 2 OC is above average, but not great, and I have not finished it yet (altho I'm getting close.) However, Mask of the Betrayer is said to be one of the best things ever, so I suppose it should be worth finishing just for that (you can start this expansion even without finishing the base game, but it seems to begin where OC has left off)
