Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.
Yes! Finally, finally!!
The original campaign for NWN2 is pretty terrible from memory, just endless battles against trash mobs of lizardmen/orcs and a generic heroic fantasy story. Storms of Zehir (which introduced a world map) and Mask of the Betrayer (very nicely written plot) are where it's at.
Good job GOG!

I'm actually playing NWN 1 for the first time right now, this is wonderful news :D
I have been wanting to play NWN2, and this is a pretty good reason. Thanks you, GOG. :)
Cheeers to whole GOG TEAM!! Thanks for bringing this title.... The wait was long.... But I'm very happy it's over!! I must say that you guys started this year very strong - looks like there will be heaps of great releases this year! First Omerta and now NWN 2.... Thank you very much!!

NWN2 campaign is supposed to be better than NWN1 - the campaign for that was only made as an afterthought from what ive read in places...the editor was where NWN1 shone apparently
Went and bought it. Maybe this time I'll manage to play through it.
Throw my pride into a corner! Easy all the way, those dragons ain't stopping me this time!

mystral: The bard NPC you get is useless and annoying though, so you can still mock bards.
I found Bards to be one of the most powerfull class in NWN1 , in NWN2 a very good supporting class too. :-)

It's the polite version of "mind f****d" ;)

TheEnigmaticT: This game, I would note, lets you determine the utter uselessness of a bard as a player class. We head-faked you.
Well played, sir. Well played!

This is the first instabuy of the year for me. *_*
Amazing release, mad props the Hasbro and the GOG team for this

Great game, with great expansions, goodies and DRM free finally here

Meanwhile the game that was removed from Steam is still not there

This should have been the 500th game

It's better than NWN1 OC, but that isn't saying much. NWN nights games however were always designed in be more modular rather than "one big game", it's just that due to issues with Atari and the D&D license the planned series of user-paid modules for NWN2 was cancelled, and only Mysteries of Westgate ended up being made.

To give you an idea of how retarded Atari was about games back then, it took them like 4 years to figure out what type of DRM to slap of Mysteries of Westgate (they eventually decided on Securom).

And yet here we are years later and the game is on GOG with no DRM at all.
hmm, question: atari bankrupcy, will be customers (in good tradition of gog) protected from any problems? wont it dissapear in fiew days?

other than that - instabuy for me.

edit: wait, hasbro as publisher, there is no question, where is that buy now button... ;]

GOG, I'm disappointed. Yes, I wanted to write a review for NWN2, but it kept telling me that it was too long, without giving me any hint on too long by how much? So, no rating and no review for you.

Anyway, it might be better for you and for NWN2. My review was not good. Even if I have the complete pack on Steam, I only played the main campaign. And I was so annoyed by it that it made me not wanting to play the add-ons, even if I had heard very good things about them.

The camera handling and the IA inefficiency are my two main grips with that game. It really left a bad taste in my mouth, since I had loved NWN and its expansions. Other things, like the castle building, were excellent ideas but very poorly implemented.

So, no, for me NWN2 the main campaign is not a good game. It's an average game at best. And that's from somebody who spent 50 hours playing it; I think I kept on playing because I desperately hoped that it would improve at some point in the game, but no, never. So, when I beat the game, I was more relieved than happy to have completed it.

Which should not arrive in a good game.
