Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate expansions included!

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, the ultimate edition of Obsidian's RPG set in the all time favorite Dungeons & Dragons setting, the Forgotten Realms, is now available 25% off on GOG.com. That's $14.99, this week only.

Ah, Forgotten Realms, after all the days we've spent treading your paths, you seem like home. Whenever the world around us seems oppressive and dark, whenever life gets us down--our mind escapes to your green fields, your rocky mountains, your lush forests. We cherish the memories of our bold ventures into your deep undergrounds, filled with dangerous beasts and traps, yet luring us with promise of great riches and unsurpassed power. We still tremble at the thought of the vengeful gods and goddesses that toy with the fates of your inhabitants, and the perplexing magic that fills you to the brim. We fondly remember the long evenings spent in the warmth and security of your many taverns and inns, where a single conversation could usher us into a new quest. Now comes the time to visit you once more.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete revisits many of the iconic locations known from previous D&D computer RPGs, and adds even more--all in a beautifully rendered environment. The game has been praised for faithfully executing the D&D 3.5 ruleset, delivering a captivating story and vivid characters, and vastly improving the visuals in comparison to its predecessor. With four full campaigns and adventure sets to embark upon, a set of tools to create your own adventures, and fully patched and ready to go, this is the version you just can't afford to miss!

Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure! Tag along, get Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete, for only $14.99 until Thursday, January 31, at 10:59AM GMT.

F1ach: I have the Platinum Edition, is Westgate any good, may shell out for a DD back up if it is.

Thanks for any help :)

Will these mods work with Platinum do you know?
avatar
Leroux: Are you talking about NWN or NWN2? They won't work with NWN2 Platinum because we were talking about NWN here, the predecessor, sorry.

But there are plenty of modules for NWN2, too, even Planescape-themed ones.
I meant NWN 2 Leroux, thanks for the linkage, very much appreciated :)

RayRay13000: How unexpected. I'd buy it right now but I'm waiting for my next paycheck.

So any CPU (like a i5 3570K) and a graphics card with the latest graphics drivers (XFX 7970 HD Black Edition3 GB 1000Mhz) would work just fine? Just wondering since I saw the 3 GHz requirement.
I'm sure it would run just fine on your rig, it almost ran decent on my my older crappy Dell rig, though I had to turn the graphics and resolution way down because of my awful graphics card in that rig. My new rig is about the same or equivalent as yours (i5 3570K and Nvidia GTX 670) and it runs The Witcher 2 flawlessly on high settings.

Edit: Though a few posters are mentioning something about how NWN 2 had some problems with ATI/AMD cards, so you might want to get some confirmation.

I already have NWN2 from ages back but never got the Westgate expansion, which doesn't seem to be available anywhere these days. Is there any chance of GOG releasing this as a stand-alone expansion?

It should, remember this game was released more than six years ago, which means that even in a quite outdated (four or five years old) PC it should work as expected (unless your graphic card sucks badly, as in Intel). A game that at release time needs a more powerful system than those available in retail would go down in history books (I am looking at you, Ultima IX; Ascension >_< ) Of course YMMV, old graphic drivers, virus contamination, not running an utility like AVG PC Tuneup at least once a year might mean your system is ok but your windows install is not.

The Wither 2 runs pretty good as well on my rig (slightly changed high settings with bigger texture size and other things). So I guess I'm safe after all (just curious since it was released in 2006). It propably would run on my Alienware Laptop (2.13GHz, 6 GB RAM, GTX 260M) so I guess I'll test it on that sometime. Thanks for the answer.

You're welcome, but like I said, you may want to confirm about potential performance issues with ATI/AMD cards to see if that was fixed with ptaches.
Mother of God.... Once I get my sallary I must buy this :D I love this game. Thanks gog!

I am curious about your statement. NWN 1 uses OpenGL and had issues with ATI cards because their OpenGL 1 implementation was incomplete. NWN 2 used directx 9 so there should have no problem with ATI/AMD cards (since at AFAIK their drivers have no issues with DX9 ).

I really have no idea to be honest, I just noticed that there were a few older posts in this thread that mentioned something about performance issues in the original release and thought is was worth mentioning in my reply. Apologies if my post came off as being misinformation, i'm sure the latest game version probably runs just fine now.
Cool to see it here, and from what I've heard/read, it's very much worth the asking price.

It's also worth mentioning that the game is very selectively buggy. On my laptop it doesn't work at all. I can't select characters, the interface stops working, images get scrambled, etc. On my desktop it works perfectly.

Huh, i've heard of a few games not working properly on laptops which is why I opted against getting one for gaming, though some here on GOG swear by them. Good to know as the poster I replied to said he also has a laptop.

I don't know whether it's a laptop issue or an issue with video card compatibility, but yeah. As far as laptop gaming, I've only encountered issues with Temple of Elemental Evil, Gemini Rue, and this, so it's not really much of a big deal.

Got home from work and saw this, my first thought was -
"For the content available $20 is quite good. Better yet is it $15 until the end of the month!"
Come on pay-day , and a new Neverwinter Nights
"Can you hear it now? Can you hear the rattling of D20 dice rolling? That's the sound of adventure!"

I can hear it loud and clear, thank you gog team for bringing this jewel for everyone to enjoy, I've just got home from a great day and this was the biggest surprise ever.

Thank you! Amazing job as always :-)
