grviper: Hmm... are the GG prices crap overall or is it a Europe exclusive? It's most annoying, seeing all those Euros everywhere, while Steam, GoG and Impulse charge in $...
For germany it's quite the opposite: Steam charges in Euros (expensive!) and GamersGate.com (set to English settings because i can't speak swedish which is the other option) and GoG.com charge in Dollars (cheap!).

from GG support
meaning that if you are in europe, you pay in euroes. And USA customers+Australia and Canada pay in Dollars. Uk in pounds
Russia is part of Europe
About the minions, does anyone know if the offered discounts for a genre are the same if two minions cover that genre?

bansama: 1. Be "buddies" with a GamersGate staffer on GamersGate (it's nothing to do with Facebook)

2. I expect it's something to do with using the Twitter button that is on all game pages. But I've never used those buttons....

3. I expect it's to have 10 or more "buddies" on GamersGate.

Remember, GamersGate has a "friends" system similar to that of Steams. It's all done via the GamersGate site.
Aren't we all friends already with Angie? :D

Shared something, didn't get an achievement... Maybe it requires that someone buys through that link?

Euro stricken people should check the co.uk site. Usually same price as in dollars but no added tax. Since i can buy freely on the UK site, GamersGate became a viable alternative for me. ^.^

Looks good. But another matter now when sales ended in all places is to realise again how expensive games are. Especially in euros.
Well, I won couple hours ago 40 € with gambling. So with that, I can buy some clothes or some game.

If you stick to the sales and shop in $ you get 10 games for that money. ;)
I just bought Assassins Creed 2 and Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery) + Addon for 5$ each. That's only around 3,50€. I really don't see the need for me to buy new games and pay 50€ for them. It just isn't worth it anymore, since most of the games are just more of the same with better graphics (and more DRM) anyhow. But that's just my opinion.

Does he work for GG? What's his full name on GG? Angie gives me lots of result when I search for this name.

Hmm, I cannot upload a new avatar. Does it have to be a JPG picture? GIF and PNG did not work and I don't get any error message at all.

Only place that I have tried where I could buy without being assraped (sorry for language) in prices is here in gog (as far as I know). Steam won't let me pay in dollars. Well, gamersgate could perhaps let me slip through the cracks and I'd pay uk pounds price. They are overpriced too but most games is still cheaper than euro.
But I bought some t-shirts and boxers (and a few beers, and hurrah, I was outside in a long time that long).
You are from germany.. You have euro aswell (googled that =) so you can buy in dollars in gamersgate? Or what do you mean?
In steam I looked deus ex 3 price in uk pounds.. it's was almost 15 euros cheaper or something in that range.

Edit: And of course I'll check the offers always. Good thing that I have so many games now that they'll take a while.
Only game that is worth 40-50 € is witcher 1 and hopefully skyrim. And Witcher 2 of course. I could have waited but.. I did not. =)

Maybe I'm missing something here :

GamersGate US Lost Horizon $19.95
GamersGate UK Lost Horizon £19.95

There is a significant difference between £ and $, so I dont see how thats a bargain?

BTW, I paid about €13.50 for this game on the US site, even though I live in Ireland, so I think for euro people it would make more sense to buy on the US site.

Maybe I'm missing the point? £19.95 is €22.64. vs the US site price in euros of €13.50

How do you access the US site?

Google, GamersGate, choose the .com site, not the .co.uk site, set up an account and buy games.
