It looks as if Gamersgate is aiming to shake things up a little bit. They have just upgraded the entire site to include social networking integration, site achievements, bonus rewards and more.

I haven't decided yet if I like the new layout as I need time to adjust to it. Also, each account is now tied to one of 5 'Minion' thingamies that provide discounts and bonuses for certain game genres. The catch, though, is that your choice of minion is permanent and each only promotes 2 or 3 genres.

One piece of advice I can give is to click the various sections on the left site bar such as 'FAQ' and 'My Reviews' as you can get bonus Blue Coins by exploring the new site, leaving reviews for purchased games, etc.

Anyway, just thought I'd let people know.

Just saw it myself. I'm yet to decide if I like it, but I definitely didn't like the former, so it should be better.

A minion gives you a discount on a 2 genres of games, like adventure and RPG for example if you choose an elf minion. So what 2 genres you get discounts on is determined by what kind of minion you picked. :)

I ended up getting the pirate. I wish the indie one had 3 also but since indies are usually labeled as casual got the pirate.

I've got the Cyber because most games are labeled Action/Adventure nowadays.

Lovin' the new site mainly because I just got about 2000 blue coins rating and reviewing my games, Huzzah for virtual currency.

wth, gamersgate seems to have almost all the pc games possible :O old and new, are the older games optimized to run on the newer os or they just dump the game files?
