Ubisoft have the project of launching their own Steam-like platform, with a fatty DRM forcing you to be constantly connected to their masterserver and sh*... yea lol
Like EA did with their EA Store and failed so much they finally put their games on Steam and reworked their store (especially the licence rules)
Just call back Ubisoft in 6 months/1 year, when they'll have forgotten about their :
"OMG DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION WE'RE GONNA MAKE TONS OF MONEYZ !!! NO MORE PIRATING, NO MORE SECOND-HAND SALE, THIS IS HEAVEN !! WE ARE THE NEW GOLDEN-BOYS, BACK TO THE 80 !!" -thing.
You know, after seeing all these things were just BS they kept pulling for years to their investors to justify their lack of +30% benefits each year, the impossible goal that threw the world economy to the ground, they'll contact platform like GoG and get back to business.
...
Yea, it was a busy day, 10 hours of law university, wrote down around 50 pages size 12 pages, kicking the Ubi feels really good (especially when they deserve it) :D
edit : About Blizzard, I don't think they're going to let it go without DRM and for 10 bucks, the latest news about SC2 and Diablo 3 brought me serious doubts about the "new" customer respect policy, they might pull a digital store with their reworked Battlenet 2.0, better follow their moves carefully
