CarrionCrow: Indeed. ;) In all probability a very silly question, but do you have any of the Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale games? When you said RPG with a lot of exploration, those came to mind.
Granted, Icewind Dale centers around exploring all kinds of dungeons, but still....-laughs-

donsanderson: Not silly at all. The D&D games are among the first I purchased here and I have my Baldurs all modded up.
Would kind of like a couple of less 'brain intensive' ones to play when I don't feel real ambitious.
This sale I'm pretty much just looking for a few 'plain old fun' things to add to my shelf.
Id suggest the action platformer bundle. Dust alone has been worth the price in my opinion.

CarrionCrow: Hmmm. Do you have, or have you ever heard of, Nox?
avatar
donsanderson: I have it, never played it though. Good times?
When you said plain old fun, that's what I thought of. It's got variety, isn't overly complex, just something you can sit down with, play and enjoy.

Also, if you're looking for something with tons of places to explore, Sacred's pretty good in that regard. The world's huge, 7 (if I'm remembering correctly) different characters to play as. It's all Diabloesque hack/slash/loot, though. Not sure if that's a dealbreaker or not.

Additional - Magicmaker's up. 4.99, 50 percent off. Waking Mars to follow.

Great suggestion, I've been meaning to try it for some time. Supposed to be record cold here in Iowa tonight, good time to download and have ready for tomorrow.

Sorry to butt in - I played it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it charmed the hell out of me with its humour, old-school feel and sheer playability. Its one I will go back to, for sure ;-)

Butting in? You mentioned it to me, now I've got it reinstalled for a long-overdue playthrough, and alongside that the conversation is why I can remember it well enough to feel good about recommending it.

You were already a part of the conversation, you just didn't know it. -laughs-

Thank you for 'butting in'. I'm downloading now and will give it spin tomorrow! At 2 degrees I don't think I'll have a burning desire to go out much. :O
And since this is that tracker thread, next coming up is Waking Mars $1.99 (80%)
And since the last 3 games have been out of any 'expected' order looks like we get more surprises tonight. May have to put another pot on. ;)
So....what are the odds that the six remaining items on my list are all going to show up in one big conga line of convenience before I fall asleep and start drooling into my keyboard?

What's that? Snowball's chance in hell, if we're talking about hell on an inordinately warm day that's in the middle of an inordinately warm year?

....yeah. That's kinda what I thought.

HypersomniacLive: Hmm... am I to assume you don't trust me with your work? :(
[....]
Given your quality work, I'm afraid I couldn't afford you :D

Actually I woke up this morning and there were two I had missed earlier due to PayPal being broken! Nice surprise.

Wow, it's nice to know that something that two people will be enjoying tomorrow, half way around the world from me, was started by a chance comment I made on a games forum ;-)

The kid next door would call that "Globally Kewl". ;)

That's great, I'm giggling now. Thank the kid for me next time you see him/her ;-)

That's always good. I got lucky a couple days ago, dozed off but woke back up in time to wipe a couple off the list. Yay for getting lucky. Beats the crap out of playing the endurance game versus 40 minute wait times.

Oh well. Pretty sure I'm good for another 12 hours, at least. 17 more chances to clear list entries. (Will try to temporarily forget that I am absolute crap on a stick when it comes to gambling.)
