I've mostly been playing Divinity II: Developers Cut the last few days, it's the only game recently that I sink hours into without realizing it. It's challenging without being frustrating, has all around strong gameplay, a well thought out skill system, great dialogue, plenty of humor, likeable characters and a beautiful world to explore. So yeah...why is almost nobody talking about this game?

I had the same opinion. IMHO, all divinity games go under the radar. I don't think the first two received their proper accolades either. Also, IMHO, I hated the dragon parts of Divinity 2, which were luckily, not as much of the game as they had let on. All in all, a fantastic game.
DayZ mod
Rome Total War - w/ Roma Surrectum II mod
Doom - w/ Brutal Doom mod
Banished
Crusader Kings 2

Yeah, my tastes vary a bit.
Master of Magic. I swear I am somehow going to beat at least one hard game with the insecticide patch. Currently I'm barely surviving with a channeler/nature mastery and 8 nature books build.

I wish I had time to get into MoM again, with all the community patches around. Last time I played this on a grand scale was in the late 90's. And of course "impossible" most of the time.

I'm not sure I could stomach impossible :P I'm having a hard enough time already with those chaos and death global enchantments, especially Meteor Storm 8-|

I think it's because with the patch the game gets a lot harder. The original had a few AI bugs (that you needed to abuse to win impossible).
Arrr.. In a stuck, not too charmed to play and end KotOR 2, and getting back too much to Warframe F2P.. >.<
I'm near the finish of Bioshock Infinite and have just died for the 9th time. I'm also playing Penumbra Overture and just got killed by the Worm. And am playing Saints Row 4 and got an award for making my car break the "airborne" record. Love all of these games.
I am "playing" Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom for the PSP. It's a visual novel; very pretty, well-translated, and an interesting story, and yet it's kind of dragging--I feel like even by visual novel standards, you don't get to do much (compared to Western visual novels like Don't Take it Personally, where it seems like you get to make dialog choices more frequently).

I also started playing Broken Age--not a backer, just an ordinary Steam customer. I think I'm almost to the end of the girl's storyline. It's been cute, but brief and aimless. [edit, 57 minutes later: yep, beat the girl's path. Short, ends with a deus ex machina, easy. This game is on the road to be "pleasant diversion" rather then "masterpiece."]

Volgarr the Viking so don't worry if you here me scream in rage ;).
Finished Steamworld Dig a couple of days ago. It was fun, though a tad tedious at first. Only real problem for me was once the going got good the game was about over. *shrug* Oh well.

Still hooked on Red Faction multi (via Pure Faction) - beat its campaign again and RF2 in quick succession. It's still as fun as it was when I was playing it years ago on my Maccer. True, there may not be a whole lot of people playing it anymore, but the one decent server that keeps drawing people has enough going for it that it's not a problem. Good times. Love me rail gun and the miner poker. ;) Definitely one of the most satisfying FPS experiences, in my book.

Tried again and decided to completely give up on the new Rise of Triad. I don't know, it's just not that fun. It also doesn't help that the game's performace leaves a lot to be desired, even after a good bit of patching. Eventually I'll dip into the original again since it's still quite enjoyable.

Lastly, the news of the upcoming Age of Wonders 3 made me install the first again to give it a try. Bought the old 'trilogy' here some time ago, but I never really got into it, so I want to see how I feel about it now.
Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business - right after finishing the original Tomb Raider, good new maps, same fun as the original game.
The Adventures of Shuggy - I gave it a second chance and finally starting to like it. I am surprised myself with that :D
Resident Evil 6 - still enjoying The Mercenaries mode
HAWKEN - occasionally playing some matches, the game is bad-ass and fun, but I am not so much into PVP thing unfortunately
Two Worlds II - started a Multi-Player adventure with a friend
a fairly broad collection right now:

MAIN GAMES

legends of eisenwald (alpha or beta, i forget which. loving it, loving the medieval setting)

age of decadence (again, beta, love the open world parallel universe, and the fact that you dont necessarily have to do anything, fight and stuff, and it all goes on around you, in a way)

WH40k Dawn of war and soulstorm (i love the dawn of war games, and these two have my favourite selection of units)

Wings over flanders fields. (amazing immersive ww1 TC of the cfs3 engine, payware, but ABSOLUTELY worth every penny)

dishonored (i dip in and out, great game and i got all the dlc recently in a sale)

GAMES I DIP IN AND OUT OF PERIODICALLY LATELY

gtr2

stalker

nethergate resurrection

Drakensang ROT

Siege of avalon

wizards and warriors

european air war

BOB II

rise of legends

last days of gaia

Damn that "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream"...

I like the twisted setting and atmosphere, but the puzzles... I do things without really understanding why, and for what purpose. For instance the first character (Gorrister), what is he trying to achieve? Maybe it was mentioned by AM in the beginning, and I just forgot it.

I admit I've had to use a walkthrough now, because some of the actions don't always make much sense. And even worse, it seems the things can branch and end up differently depending in which order you do things. I think I ended up in a dead-end situation in the Gorrister chapter. Since I didn't know what to do next, I checked from a walkthrough. But the step they mentioned didn't seem to work for me, nothing happened. So I used an earlier savegame and did things in the same order as the walkthrough, and now the outcome was different (ie. what the walkthrough suggested).

I think this is what drove me away from adventure games... But as said I like the setting and story, so maybe I'll play it with a walkthrough, and try to enjoy it that way. Then it is merely an interactive story where I click things in certain order to see the whole story.
