Baldur's gate 1, and having trouble getting south. x)

Stilling working my way through Serious Sam. A few difficulty spikes here and there, but overall I'm making good progress. I just recently discovered that the knife is strangely effective against a lot of the enemies. Even the bulls can be killed with just three attacks.

I've completed the first three missions (after the introductory mission) of Silent Storm, plus a few random encounters. The second mission was by far the most difficult; I was actually surprised how smoothly the third mission went. I didn't have to save scum (except for one time when I missed a shot with 100% chance of success) and I completed the mission without any of my team falling unconscious. I'm having a great time with it so far. My one complaint is the Hide skill for my scout. I'm fine with it not being that great at the moment since I'm still in the early parts of the game, but so far it hasn't proved to be useful at all. I get spotted easily from pretty far away. Still, fun game.

Trine. I just started this one today. It's pretty fun, but a it's a little harder than I expected. I'm also not a big fan of the Thief's grappling hook. It just doesn't seem to be working correctly. I have yet to cross over a spiked floor without taking damage because she swings so low so quickly that I can't move up in time. Otherwise, I'm having a good time. It looks beautiful and I like the narrator and his occasional humorous quips.
I was playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. not too long ago, but decided to try and finish Fallout: New Vegas. I've been putting it off for too long.
finished the dig. good ending, but should have been a more developed story; also, brink is a maniac
Since I finished Sanitarium, I wanted to try some similar(?) adventure game. So why not "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream", which I've meant to play like for a decade (and now I got also the GOG version)?

I played a bit with the first of the five character, and I am unsure how to play it. I mean, I did some things and apparently destroyed the airship, and after that it was back to the character selection screen? So was that it, did I clear or fail the part with that character?

I presume I failed it, since it was very short section (basically you just needed to find one item, and use that to destroy the airship), and I had lots of other items in my possession which I hadn't used anywhere. I wish the game would make it more apparent that I have failed my quest. The AM was ridiculing me though for apparently trying to kill myself, I presume that was supposed to be the clue that it was a fail and I should replay that part.

Then again, how will I know when my quest was successful? The character will disappear from the character selection screen? Or there will be a big "You Win!!!" screen?

Meh, maybe I'll play it with a walkthrough... By the way, be sure people to change the music device to General MIDI, it sounds much better than the default Soundblaster music.

Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion. I've decided to avoid using cheats. I am ever so slowly working my way through level 7.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: decent enough action game. Small surprise, it pretty much copies God of War in every way. Except that God of War had a better presentation and overall better VA performances and dialogue.

I gave up on that recently. Just not my kind of game, I think. Castlevania IV is more my kind of Castlevania game (and hopefully I like Symphony of the Night too, as I'm going to try that shortly). And don't you think the main character's head looks far too small for his body? I couldn't stop thinking about the goombas in the Super Mario Bros movie: http://www.pushselectmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/super-mario-bros-movie-goomba.jpg

As for now, I'm playing a bit of Guacamelee (from the humble bundle) and Rayman Legends. I didn't expect much from Guacamelee (I was more interested in Monaco and Dust in the bundle) but it's really quite fun. The combat just works so well it's hard to not have a good time. I'm not enjoying Rayman Legends as much as Rayman Origins, but it's still pretty good. The music-based levels at the end of each chapter are amazingly well done.
Finished Papers, Please a few days ago. What an amazing game. Especially for its size.

Still playing Deus Ex, and also still trying to find that pesky water chip in the post nuclear adventure you already know the name of... which is already one of my favorite games now

Thief 4. Just finished the intro. Aside from graphical glitches, its fun so far. I know a patch is already coming, but the details of the patch are around AMD tech... I'm hopeful it also resolves Nvidia/Intel issues as well.

Too early to tell, still, but having just replayed Thief 3, I already like it much better than that ;)
Playing Might and Magic X and getting beaten up badly in it.
Just cheat-killed my way through the final boss battles (one guy, you fight him 3 or 4 times) in the last Baldur's Gate game, and am not sure what to play next. For the next game I'm thinking of trying something completely different and Wargame: European Escalation, Panzer Elite, Soldiers, and a few others are staring back at me from the shelf.

Wouldn't mind giving Privateer 2 a shot, also. My way-back-when PC wasn't really able to handle it when it was first released, so I never finished the game.

mistermumbles: Well, I decided to finally give my KS backer copy of Broken Age a try after finishing watching the latest documentary episode.

I enjoyed it for what it was even if the first half was quite short. It really makes me wonder where all that money went. Sure, it looks and sounds lovely... but ~4 mil (and probably more) for something like that? That really seems a tad ridiculous when you consider that some other adventure game studios can make just as good games with a lot less for their budget. *shrug* Anyway, I really enjoyed the story so far and it definitely was well set up for part 2. It certainly makes me wonder what's really going on there. Sadly, the puzzles are a cakewalk for even average adventure gamers.

Oh well. At least I had just as much fun watching the documentary (if not more so) as playing the game. I certainly can't complain for those measly $15 I threw their way for both.
In retrospect -- Psychonauts took a hella lot of money to make at its time. Although the main difference here is that we are dealing with an old school adventure game, so I can definitely understand your point. It does sound a bit shady to some degree.
