Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

So, I just sat on the homepage looking at the price of Hearts of Stone in Firefox and hitting reload every 6-8 seconds roughly. I got...

$8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $8.99 $7.19 $7.19 $7.19

Same game, same web browser, same IP address that is not changing, all within 60 seconds or so. If anyone from GOG.com wants to step up to the plate to try to diagnose this live right now I'm ready to go. It only seems to affect certain games which have lower prices in Canada than in the US to account for exchange rate differences. The problem is that I don't keep a database of which games this affects and what their regular prices are to know whether the price I'm being shown is the correct one until I hig reload 5000 times and compare the results manually, so I can never know if I buy a game if I am being charged properly for it.

Update: I'd almost bet money that the static data servers are doing roundrobin DNS between several hosts to load balance and some of the servers are failing to geoip lookup properly and defaulting to US pricing when that happens.

Paging broken again?
Too bad I already own all free games. :P

I haven't even played Banished that much since I've bought it. :D

But also, is this really decent to call the Fallout pack "Originals" while they are the modified versions?

Anyway...
Wow, I guess now we know what`s soon on GoG. :-)
A weird thing I noticed: The Deluxe Edition of Age of Wonders 3 has a big discount and costs only 8.69 €, but the normal version has no discount and costs nearly three times the price of the Deluxe Edition now. Even one of the discounted DLCs costs more than the Deluxe Edition.

skeletonbow: They usually do an encore sale except with Insomnia sales, but there is never any guarantee it will happen and they never pre-announce it so the only real way to know is for us to wait it out and find out unless they change protocol and pre-announce it.
Thanks for the heads up, think i'll be waiting little a while and see how's sale going.

IAmSinistar: Welp, just unlocked all three games, which I already have. Guess I should look into starting a clearinghouse thread, since I won't be the only one.

toxicTom: That would be a superb idea!
Ta mate, and I see you have already discovered it. :)

For folks looking to unload your unneeded promo codes, head on over to the Big Fall Sale Clearinghouse Thread. Also stop by if you're one of the people looking for one of these promo games!
I hope this time I will be able to buy Neverwinter or Balur's Gate EE games.

Neptunia will count in Fall promo to grab games?

Edit:
Nvm, I see it in Staff Picks.

I'll wait for the Star Trek/Star Wars bundles (if those should happen). Nothing else from the catalog really grabs my interest at the moment.

I always think it's funny when people get excited about sales. "Thanks for being a business and taking (more of) my money!"

If it was just about that, then yes, it'd be silly.
But since the people who work for GOG are actually decent people, as opposed to soulless money-grubbing bastards who care about getting paid first, foremost and only, with nothing but a middle finger straight to the eye socket for anyone who expects a bit more from those they do business with, all while treating the customer like a combination of potential thief, idiot and sucker, it makes the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.
My first thought: "A System Shock 2 + Riddick + Banished bundle for $30? Ummm, is that supposed to be a good deal?" Ok, misunderstood something there at first. :)

Games I will most probably buy later today:

Elder Scrolls Classics bundle
Blackguards 2 (from the Daedalic bundle)

After that everything is open. I'd like to get e.g. Pillars of Eternity and Age of Wonders 3, but maybe they'd break my budget at these prices. Someone mentioned that the Grim Fandango remake is on sale too, I'll need to check it also.

Lots of games still to check, there are so many I don't recognize at all...
How long does it take to gog send the email with the free games? Or does it appear on our account?

On the front page, you'll see a box that says unlocked. On mine it says unlocked (3), and when I click on it, all 3 games are present as gift codes.
My wallet. It's not ready. D:
