Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

Marioface5: EDIT: I was venting here, but I don't want to risk my negativity bringing anyone else down. You can't delete posts on this forum, but this is close enough.

mrkgnao: A pity. For what it's worth, I thought it was a well-written evaluation. +1, anyhow.
I agree with this too. I feel the same way towards the bundles here for this sale, you aren't alone.

IronArcturus: Is that Cities in Motion game any good? Is it like Transport Tycoon?

jamotide: I really liked it. It is very satisfying to create lines that ferry the people to their jobs and back. You can create pickup lines that deliver them to the subways and they would pick the fastest route, even if it was a greater distance. All the while ripping em off for loads of money of course. Good business sim.
So is it true that the player cannot construct the cities in any way? Do they just create pathways?
Have I gone blind, or has nobody started a tracking thread for this sale?

I've been wondering about that as well. If there is a tracking thread, I haven't been able to find it.

HunchBluntley: How does that "50% hipster" thing work? Do you only sport half of a handlebar mustache? =P
avatar
Johnmourby: Simple. The games I play and albums I listen to aren't ones you probably never heard of. You probably did hear about then immediately forgot about them.

If you're actually serious about wanting to know it's because I have hipster-like traits but I don't have the energy to run with them and become a real hipster ;)
Joking aside, that somewhat describes me as well. I guess I'm a "halfster" too! =)
Damn, why does the Ys bundle have to come now, when I have to wait for new money until tuesday....

Rivdoric: Hello !

Will there be more Free Games past $30 soon ?
Maybe they could add one for $60 and one last for $100 ?

$30 is not a lot for a 10 days sale, lul :)
I agree. I blew through the $30 mark on day 1.

Pretty boring sale, I still haven't adjusted to the lack of urgency from an insomnia sale. I'm getting in the car this morning to drive to work, thinking, what if I miss something great while I'm driving? Then I remembered, it's not an insomnia, and I won't miss a damn thing while I'm driving.
Got two codes to give away:

System Shock 2 (NALS02F150B8109CD6)
Chronicles of Riddick (HPMAFC0B43E33CB4MP)

Have fun, freebie hunters...

I agree. I especially liked the bit where he likened EDITED BY MARIOFACE5, and how he then extended the metaphor to EDITED BY MARIOFACE5 MUAHAHAHAHA. I thought this was very insightful.

EDIT: Goddammit, how did you edit MY post as well, Marioface? What dark magicks do you wield? And for that matter, what happened to Mariofaces 1 through 4?!

Especially when you spend that in the FIRST DAY...

Please Take My Moneys, GOG!
I have Cities in Motion + Collection Upgrade because i stupidly bought them separately and because of that the Citites in Motion Collection doesn't shows as owned. Can something be done about that. Blues?
Of course the Ys bundle had to come now! *facedesk*

Okay, well if people really liked what I said before then I'll try to make the same point about the bundles here. I'm sorry if it ends up not being as good as my previous post. I promise I won't delete it this time though!

I'm a bit disappointed by this sale so far because of two main things: The bundles and the repeats. The first day of the sale was great and very promising, but since then almost all of the daily deals have been repeats and the bundles have been terrible. The point of a bundle is that you get a really great discount on the games in it (like 85% off or better) but you have to buy every game in the bundle to get that discount. 66% off and ~75% off, as we're seeing in yesterday and today's bundles, are terrible in the context of a bundle. 75% off is a typical discount for a game being sold by itself, there's nothing special about it, so requiring people to buy multiple games together for that same discount or worse turns the bundle into a negative thing.

The Shooters Supreme bundle includes 7 games at 66% of for $25.05. All of them are over a decade old. That's a terrible bundle. On the first day of the sale, we saw the Interplay bundle, which for only $0.19 more (if I remember correctly) included 36 games (all over a decade old, again) at 90% off. That's a great bundle! We also had the Build Your Own Daedalic bundle on the first day, with up to 15 games at 85% off. Again, that's a good bundle. However, on the first day we also had two terrible bundles with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout bundles, which each included three old games at just 66% off. If a bundle isn't going to provide a special discount (85% off or better, I would say), then the games in it should just be discounted individually. GOG shouldn't put up new bundles every day just for the sake of having them.

I'm interested in Cities in Motion too.

I've read the same thing. You get the city's infrastructure and you create the transport lines.
You can create your own cities using the editor though.
