A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?

Is Grimrock turn based combat?

tinyE: Is Grimrock turn based combat?
No, it's realtime, but it has a definite rhythm to it. Strategic use of doors really helps.

Chandoraa: I'm sure this must have been mentioned before, but am I the only one that finds it weird for a sale to end in the middle of a Sunday? What are you blues not telling us? Tinfoil hat mode: on!
I found that odd as well.

Really? Far out. I hate TBS. :P Looks like my lucky day.

Nope, real time action/combat.

Nope Sir :) ! However take note that moves are square based, in some places you really have to put some tactics.

LoG is a fantastic game, in my opinion. The sequel is much more expansive but also harder. The original is perfectly self-contained.

Never Played the second one.... Yet
Is it really harder ? There was some hard rooms in the first one as well. The slum room or the scavenger one ^^

The original is certainly challenging, make no mistake. I found the sequel harder because it is more open, and thus you can reach areas that are really too tough for your party at that point in their progress. The closed dungeon of the original is better at ensuring you are ready for the challenges ahead.

Yes, you are the only one. :P
Previous sales have also ended on Sundays, like this year's summer one.

Oh i see, thanks.
That's the main reason i didnt buy it yet. I'm a little worried it's going to be a lot less creepy and oppressive because of this "open world".

implord66: I'm currently eyeing the Ultima bundle, but I'm not thrilled about being shovel fed 9. Also the Blitzkrieg games for a couple bucks is also tempting.

Engerek01: Hehe so cute. Does 3 action randomly. You should give him to anyone who does 30 dollar something.

System Shock: NALS1BE9C5A399E1LR
Riddick: HPMA16C68CB911C8CS

First one gets it. You are welcome.

implord66: Thanks for Riddick! You made my Friday!
You are welcome.

System Shock is still available.

The atmosphere is certainly different from the first game. On the plus side there is a lot more variety to it. There are also more items to collect, which some people see as a plus and others as a minus. Personally, I like how weapons and equipment are comparatively rare in the original, so that even a single scrap of armor is a great find.

My guess would be that they'll appear sometime during the Winter sale, likely on the 24th. Just a hunch though ;)
