Luned: It has a very nice soundtrack, take a listen here.

I really enjoyed the game, but it's definitely challenging for the first few levels.

Azhdar: What about gameplay? Good rpg?
It's very good if it's the kind of game you like; it doesn't hand you easy victories. It most often gets compared to the Wizardry games. Your party will start with nothing, and by nothing, I mean that getting your first pair of basic shoes is cause for celebration. You will probably have to reload a saved game on more than one occasion. For a fantasy world, they've managed to find a bit of a fresh take in terms of story; not radically different, but the gods storyline isn't one I've heard before. The other important part of the Deluxe Edition is the extra strategy guide--- reading the Tips section before playing will save you a lot of hassles---but you could probably find a good deal of the information scattered around the internet at this point.

Oh, and I don't think I ran into one single bug while playing it from the release build. Top-notch quality, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Numantian again based on the experience.

Good details. Thank you very much.
Hmmm i do hope the x-games return with their discount for the finale...
Labyrinth of Time. How hard is it? Especially compared to Myst?

I played through part of the game (Lords of Xulima), and the game does have a few flaws I would like to point out:

1. Game mechanics encourage ridiculous unfun strategies. Most notably, the skills "Knowledge of Herbs" and "Learning". Knowledge of Herbs increases the amount of herbs you harvest, which would be nice, except that herbs don't respawn, so to get maximum benefit, you need to avoid harvesting herbs early on. Learning gives you more XP (in a game where enemies don't respawn) and hence is generally considered a mandatory skill, leaving fewer skill points for more useful skills. The game would have been better off without those skills.

2. Inverted difficulty curve. The game starts off fairly challenging and gets easier as you progress, which is the opposite of how a game should be. Games should start off easy and get harder as you progress and learn the game better, not the other way around. To make matters worse, the game doesn't let you increase the difficulty mid-game, which would otherwise be a way around the issue.

3. Level up mechanics. Most notably, the fact that you can only increase a skill by 1 at level up (so if you have been neglecting a skill, you can't make up for it later), and the fact that you can only raise skills at level up, even if you have the skill points. This makes level ups, which should be a happy occasion, rather stressful.

4. Food system punishes you for exploration. The game would be better if food were only used up when you rest and not while moving around.
still keeping my fingers crossed for a star trek bundle

apehater: still keeping my fingers crossed for a star trek bundle
Well, if we don't see one tomorrow, I doubt that Star Trek will be featured in this sale, as Friday should be the beginning of the encore period (where it will more than likely consist only of repeat deals and bundles).

Now, now, you know one of the future bundles will be a Gold Box bundle. And, just based on the amount of games out there, it seems more likely that Star Wars. Though it might be fun to let the older Star Wars / Star Trek games duke it out.

Speaking of Star Trek, when do you think Disney will buy it? I mean, they've purchased most other popular bits of pop culture for couch change (for them), why haven't they snapped that up?

I dont think theyll purchase the franchise, but it could happen. I still have to laugh at the thought of Disney owning Blade. ^^
Someone else can use this free copy of System Shock 2, I hope:

I claimed it. Thank you very much for it. I've been looking for System Shock for a long time, ever since I finished all the Bioshock games. You've got +1 Rep from me.

GOG.com: Look out for games labelled "Last Chance" on the front page - it's the final opportunity to get the discount in the Big Fall Sale.
Where do I see these "Last Chance" labelled games?

I have "ALL DEALS" and "ENDING SOON" tabs on the front page, but no "Last Chance" tab or labels anywhere.

There's only one game that currently has the clock icon on the upper left of its picture that indicates that it's a last chance item. That game is Rayman Origins. The only other game that's had that so far is Assassin's Creed.

Oh, an icon. I'm on travel at the moment and on rather bad internet connections. I do not even see the game pictures in the "DAILY DEALS" section (although the pictures in other page sections do work). All I get in the game boxes is a text "class=", the game name and the price. So there's probably no chance for me to get the last chance info.

@GOG: Please make this a text info or put these games into a separate tab so that the info is also available on bad internet connections.
