Awesome daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.

Ah yes. Fall. A time of gold and scarlet, overcoats, and increasingly cozy afternoons. A fine time to start stocking up for the winter. A fine time for a gaming sale indeed… So welcome to the Big Fall Sale - 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock.

The Big Fall Sale goes to eleven. It's one better, isn't it?
Today, the last day of the Big Fall Finale, is also a day of all the remaining daily deals - there's just so many of them. It's the time to grab everything you might be kinda into, and just maybe it'll also score you a free game or two, or three.

As we wind down the deals and pack our bundles, there's just one more thing to say: thanks for joining us in the Big Fall Sale!

While you're here, grab a few extra games for free by doing your thing and shopping around. The more you spend, the more you'll get back, so when your total spendings exceed $5, $15, and $30, you'll unlock a new game for FREE. They're pretty good ones too:
--System Shock 2 - free for everyone who spends at least $5.
--The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - free for everyone who spends at least $15.
--Banished - free for everyone who spends at least $30.

Pet the squirrel, grab your nuts, stock up for winter, and stay cozy out there - the Big Fall Sale is here with 11 days of discounted gaming joy, new deals every day, free games to collect, and plenty of reasons to keep coming back! The sale will last until November 15, 1:59 PM GMT.

You’re sure to see tons of discounted games played by our enthusiastic #StreamTeam over at - be sure to follow us to know when we go live or check out our [url=http://j.mp/streaming_schedule]streaming schedule (via teampup)!

IronArcturus: Yeah, I've read that it has a lot of mixed reviews. I wonder if anyone else in this thread has played Train Fever.
I have and I really like it!
I've been playing it on Linux and Windows. The game has been greatly improved since its release, so search for newer reviews if you'd like.

There's a great modding community too! If you speak German, it's even better! :-)

Ok... now I have 2 fingers.
So I ask again: Does anyone know what exactly these "daily deals" are?

Here is what I wrote in an earlier post:
I’m still confused. What exactly are the daily deals? Going to the main page I can see the four bundles, two rows of "Highlights" and then a huge block of discounted games with several tabs (staff picks, roleplay, adventure, thinking, action). Are all the games listed there daily deals? And if I click on Browse Games and select Discounted as filter, I get hundreds of discounted games. If these are all daily deals and we get new ones every 12 hours, the whole GOG catalogue will have been on discount by day 3 of the sale. Then the daily deals would have to start from the beginning? All of this doesn’t make sense to me. What am I missing?

Yesterday, I bought LEGEND OF HEROES: TRAILS IN THE SKY series for $40.
Today, GOG has a BIG FALL SALE that gives 3 free games for people who spent $30 or above...

Got trolled by life :-\

Our awesome promo launch seems to be a little confusing, so just to clarify - here's how this thing is going down:

Today is special. There are a whole lot of deals going on at once, more than usual - this will go on for 24 hours. Staff Picks are a selection of the deals from the promo, but you can find more deals under other tabs and by browsing the catalog for all discounted games.

Afterwards, we're switching to a more standard promo schedule with fewer discounts that include a bunch of new deals, and some returning from today. That includes Daily Deals (new every 12 hours, live for 24 hours) and Daily Bundles (new every 24 hours, live for 48 hours).

I hope that clears up most of the uncertainty, this is a pretty unusual start for the promo indeed. :)

innerring: Why the Fallout classics show up as not owned?
Because you own the Interplay ones, these are the Bethesda ones, which are the same, pretty much, but have separate entries in the catalog - weird but true!

Is there an English version of that website? I only know a little bit of German.

TBH it has been really obvious for the last few days that some big sale would be coming soon... Still, condolences.

tfishell: Shame the other Humongous games aren't here yet; this would be a great opportunity to do a bundle discount rivaling the Humble Humongous Bundle or Steam's deals on those games.
Agreed. I'd plunk down hard cash on Spy Fox in a second here.
As usual, I own all the free bonus games being offered. :(

Hopefully Invisible, Inc will be on sale.

The different entries is due to the bonus content. The classic versions provide several bonuses, including the game soundtracks.

IAmSinistar: The four items directly under the Daily Bundles header. Those will change daily. Everything else is on sale throughout the whole sale.

Generally speaking, if an item is on regular sale, it will not be part of one of the Bundles. And there may be two "All Bundle" days, usualy midway through the sale and at the end, in which all bundles are made available at once.
avatar
Falkenherz: But the GOG post talks of the daily deals and the bundles being two separate things, one updating every 12 hours and the other every 24 hours:

"350+ daily deals and bundles up to -90%. Free games to unlock. Fuzzy squirrel on the front page.
... 11 days of new daily deals every 12 hours, a new set of bundles every 24 hours and free games to unlock"

And if everything else is on sale throughout the whole sale, why do the games below the bundles have a timer too?
Remembering the past summer sale, I think it will be like this (since we are in the same time zone, I will use that as reference):
a) Today at 3 pm, we got 4 bundles (TES, Interplay...) and daily deals (individual games)
b) at 3 am (in the night), new daily deals will appear but those mantioned in a) will stay
c) Tommorrow at 3 pm, the daily deals mentioned in a will disappear and a third set of those will show up. Also,
new bundles will appear but those from today will stay. They will disappear on Friday at 3 pm.

But maybe I am wrong. :)

EDIT: Ninja'ed by Konrad. :)

Looks like no FREE game on this sale.
And i meant FREE.
If you are pondering the Red Baron Pack for $2, then get it. I learned after the last sale, that it might not appear more than once. So I had to wait till this sale to grab it.
