Two strategy/RPG powerhouses in one mega-promo: up to 80% off almost every Stardock and Paradox game!

Usually, when you're told that you're going to be sharing some space with a person you've never met, the first things you wonder are whether you two will be compatible and if they own a handheld console. But every once in awhile, the match ends up being so perfect that you feel like it should had happened long ago. When Stardock meets Paradox, this is exactly the vibe you'll get as you're browsing through their combined list of games and look at the sweet discounts we put on them.

Coming hot from the Kickstarter oven, Pillars of Eternity delivered this "modern classic" vibe that fans of the isometric RPGs of yore were craving. And it did it with the gusto and confidence we have come to expect from Obsidian.

The enormous scale and sandbox qualities of the <Galactic Civilizations games are what set them apart, but it's Stardock's commitment to constantly improving and expanding their potential that has grabbed the attention of all known species in the galaxy.

When Stardock meets Paradox you know you're in for a real treat. It's a great list of quality strategy/RPGs that should be on everyone's collection, like Sins of a Solar Empire, Hearts of Iron II, Majesty Gold, Sorcerer King, and many more, going for up to 80% off. The promo will last until April 19, 3:59 AM UTC.
So before the promo disappears for ever and ever and ever...
Gimme some recs for the budget titles.

Hurm, that's a lot of different flavours of Risk.

Majesty Gold. It's different from all of the other Paradox games, quite fun, not a flavor of Risk and not that much of a time sink as the grand strategy games.
Rats!

The difference in time zones got me (again), and I missed the sale. There were a few things I wanted to grab (and I already have maybe half of the games listed).

Oh well, next time...
Seems i waited too long to get any games from this deal. Too bad :( Oh well...

Me too but I don't regret it. I'm somewhat interested in some of those games but not that much.

Say, I feel like your avatar is somewhat familiar, but I can't figure out from what game. Would you care solving this mystery for me, please?

Oh, I never played it, but I remember screenshots from a magazine.
The memories... :-)
Thank you.

Splatsch: If it can help you, I found a demo on the official website of the game ! It's only the tutorial, but it helps a lot to see how the game plays, and to see resolution/graphical options.
Thanks for the hint to the demo. I've tried it out. The interface took a bit time to get used to, but I like the game. Hopefully the Linux version arrives soon ...

You're welcome :)
I hope for you and all Linux users !

Oh, go there if you want mods and maps.
I particularly recommend the mod "Line Statistics Plus ver5.7" (you can find it more easily in this post) : it adds a lot more financial stats for your lines, and you can put a custom color to each line, all of this is really useful. The "Ultimate Camera Control" mod is strongly suggested too if you've got a powerful computer (it enables to increase the zoom out range and add a lot of possibilities to the camera use).
I really like the game, especially with the "Line Statistics Plus" mod which helps a lot to really enjoy the game (and the mod is really easy to instal ;)).

More statistics are always good. :)

The camera control is one of my (minor) gripes. You cannot zoom out wide enough and I don't like it that the camera zoom and the height are coupled. Nice to know that at least the zoom problem is already solved. Not sure though if my PC can handle it. ;)

Thanks!

Oh yes. For me, this mod "completes" the game in a very needed way (it's a must instal in my opinion).

I understand you soooo well ;) But I must precise that you can adjust all the settings of the mod to your will (so it can have limited impact if you are interested to try it).
You're very welcome :)
