I just noticed it's half off right now for another 25 hours or so.
They didn't even send out messages saying it was on sale the sods.

You're welcome. ;)
Dat pricing is good for what the game is offering. Now, where the frag are the rest of VC games?!

On PSP, so a port to PC would be more complicated.

I know, there are already PSP to PC ports of other games, but in this case, doing an ugly low-poly, small-maps of VC2 after the gorgeous, big, cutscene-heavy VC1 would please the hardcore fans of the series, but seriously confuse or disapoint most of the other people.

A good port of VC2 / VC3 would require to recreate quite a few assets so they can be at VC1 level. Can't see that happen, unfortunately
But I would LOVE them to prove me wrong ^^

Even then, the PSP gameplay involved repeating maps over and over for "quick" battles rather than the big, unique mission maps on the first game. I don't see that working well on a PC.

Not to mention the still (officially) untranslated VC3...
Maybe seeing the sales, they will have a change of heart and will remaster the games, just like Ubi did with AC: Liberation (a game that turned out to be more interesting than ACIII)
I wouldn't mind at all a remastered VC3. Put assets on the level of VC1 as Kardwill said, fully voice acted, maybe even a few cutscenes although beyond the visual novel style it had on PSP. I really missed a "Selvaria kicks your ass" cutscene.

Basically, I would love to have a VC1 quality game with all VC3 gameplay upgrades. That would be awesome.
I have yet to finish VC1, game is huge if you go for perfection (research, getting the perfect score, killing all the enemy aces and so on). But also highly enjoyable. Loved every bit of it and wish to have more time for finishing it.
Yeah, I'm on a break (I finished the campaign, but I will wait a few weeks before playing the NG+ and the DLCs), and that game is seriously awesome :)

I was getting really hyped about that one, so I was very disappointed there was no cutscene. I believe I said this before, but while I understand they're limited on what they can put on the PSP disc, the fact that they animated the beach swimsuit scene instead is something I'm not willing to forgive.

BTW, probably because of the 100+ hours I've put on both VC2 and VC3, when replaying VC1 I gave up pretty fast. It was just way too easy to be interesting. I guess I'll keep slowly playing it, but I don't really have much of an interest on playing that right now.
*cackles evilly yet again!*
VC is currently available as a half off daily deal on Humble for almost another 17 hours. Everybody rejoice but awalterj. =P

VC3 is the one I'd play if I could only play one. I would actually like an anthology to come out for PS3, PC, or Vita with the graphics of the first one applied to the PSP games.

Because I can't think of a better place to mention it: I recently played the Code Name S.T.E.A.M. demo, I thought it would be just okay. However, I found it to be really fun, the controls on the 3DS worked really well.
