Got only Trine III so far, I was hoping for more titles or a few deeper discounts.
From what I see other players are enjoying the promotion just fine though so cheers to GOG!

Southpawe: They should do a remake of the game now. Something better than the 2008 one they did though.
like some real ps4 open world dino hunting crap.
avatar
ReynardFox: It wouldn't really be Turok though, it's a comic book series and I'd really like another story driven game that actually follows the character like these oldies did.

I wouldn't be against your idea for a game though if it happened, it would still be a better idea than the bland, linear nothing that was Turok 2008.
I always wanted to play a good dino shooter.

I have yet to find one.

zlep: Sleepy Sheep Tracker List

Games are cycling *very* fast for this sale. GOG seem to be following a small-quantities, return-often approach for this insomnia.

Stoibs: Return often? Very fast?
I've been idling with a tab open for the better part of 5+ hrs now waiting for the Baldurs/Icewind enhanced deal to roll back around again..
Man I hate how GoG keep doing these stupid limited time sale things instead of just having everything laid out for us to purchase.
I meant generally, as compared to previous insomnias. I haven't seen the D&D Enhanced deal come up again. Maybe it won't. There have been some games in past insomnias that only came up once (although they're rare).
so have they had jack keane 2 yet ?

Pretty much why I hate these things and consider them a terrible idea.

All it is is luck based on your region and timezone.
Happen to be Australian like us and were literally asleep for the first 6~ hours that this launched and went live with limited deals? Then LOL we're shit out of luck.
How is this any way to run a business or a way to get me to spend my money here?

Just pisses people off and lures folk to all the easy-to-acquire gog versions of these things that are on torrent sites..
It's possible that they are only allowed to sell X amount of game Y.

It is also possible that they only drop certain games into the rotation rarely in order to keep people awake and staring at the webpage....

Who knows :P

ThomNG: Enjoy the crazy Insomnia sale :)

Greetings from the Nordic Games office!
Woah! Great to see Developers on GOG forums. Welcome!
I see for the first time this «Developer» badge here (and text highlighted with orange color as well).

Hopefully this is just the beginning. It'll be great to communicate with developers on GOG directly, to solve problems, etc.

Jack Keane 2 will not come back within this Insomnia sale ;) you know, we do not want to damage a legend!

ReynardFox: Also, so it's not just my order list that no longer shows my newer purchases? Interesting...
Depends what you mean. My order list under my Account page shows all my orders just fine. I'd be distressed if it didn't.

OTOH, the pulldown box on the Contact Us page only shows a handful of orders I purchased ages ago. Thankfully this only affects me on the rare instances I've had to contact GOG about specific orders. (I've always been happy about the outcome, although last time I contacted them during a sale, and it took nearly a week for them to look into it. So don't hold your breath...)

Thanks! Just about a minute I've finally managed to grab a copy of Darksiders ... phuu ... the thing is I didn't wait for it. No insomnia whatsoever, just pure oldschool luck.

Just turned on my computer and there it was on the frontpage! :)

If that is the case, their concept failed horribly. If I don't see games I want in the regular rotation, why should I wait for games, they put in only one time? Because I don't even knew, that they sell it on the sale.

I kinda feel sorry for it.

It's not my type of game but from what I hear it's a decent example of the genre.

It was just a really bad combination of timing, quantity, and price that made it such a legend.

Yeah sorry that's what I meant, the pulldown box only shows me stuff I purchased years ago.

Also one would think selecting 'contact support' from your actual order history would automatically fill that info in, but it doesn't. Because of course it doesn't.

Did 3 sequential purchases with my credit card and was about to do a 4th, but it failed, card is now blocked.

I guess someone at the bank thinks I'm a credit card hacker or something. I can't do a thing until morning... and I want Kyrandia!!

Not saying that's what they are doing, but you see the marketing ploy regularly.

Like how say Lidl is having a sale on washing detergent at a ridiculous price. They're making a loss or breaking even on the detergent, but they'll more than make up for it in other items you buy.
Sure the customers who bought it the day before at full price, or the guy who buys it at the day after the sale ends might be getting ripped off, but that's the commercialistic society we live in. :P
