I love the reference to Nausicaä! :)
Great movie, everyone should see it.

So we have to take the salt shaker off the dinner table now, so as not to offend the slug-kin? Who's gonna get triggered by salt and pepper? Now we know.

And knowing is half the battle.

Gnostic: There is a survey at the website you link asking what animal you most like to be.

Of 27330 votes, only 54% wants to be human.

I hope it is not an indication of the whole human population, but only an indication of the human population that is quite active on the internet.
If anything it is another possible reason why there are so many people on the internet can hardly debate rationally.

Then what about all the games you are hording? You cannot play your games anymore when you are a cat, and your games will be lonely. :D

The way I see is, maybe your cat is the top 10% of the cat population? As there are hordes of not so well to do cat like us in the 90% of human population.

Maybe when people say I want to be a cat, they actually means I want to be a cat that is in the 10% of cats population that have a good life. Well being a human in the top 10% of human population is better then a top 10% cat me thinks.

Ant Simulator Canceled after Kickstarter money spent on booze and strippers. http://news.softpedia.com/news/ant-simulator-canceled-after-team-spends-the-money-on-booze-and-strippers-499697.shtml

I love the idea of kickstarter, but I just can't support the current implementation. The current safeguards are way to soft.

Not a backer on this, shouldn't backers have the right to do a "chargeback" in cases of mis-used funds?

That is exactly why I hate crowdfunding.

Well at least the money was put to good use, that's more than you can say about some other Kickstarter projects hehe.

Not really. ;)

Offworld.com seems to be more or less dead though:
http://www.similarweb.com/website/offworld.com

25k visits per month with an average visiting time of 21seconds isn't good.
Having deepfreeze.it as one of the top referring sites is hilarious in this connection. :D
To be honest, I've never even heard of the site, seems to have been one of those that shat on their own audience (Gamers are Dead™ ), so not surprising.

I was being sarcastic. Everyone knows were actually worse than Hitler.

lol you're right. And 2 others are places where she writes articles. And in return they link to her non offworld stuff I guess. A bit of a (ethical) circlejerk that shows the sad state of the progressive agenda in games journalism. I don't read it but I've heard its more of a rant / blog where she howls into the wind about the upcoming unstoppable revolution that is about to take place within the games industry.
