What Mr. Eich it wasn't necessarily wrong in the legal sense, but just because something is legal doesn't make it morally right or shield you from unforeseen consequences. Now he could have stuck to his guns and not resigned, but that might have stigmatized his company. So resigned not just on his own free will, but for the good of the company. Free speech doesn't protect anyone from the consequences of there free speech.

We should really fight back. As in really fighting back, not on the internet but in real life. If they can go to the UN to request censorship of the media there should be a way to go to a public group requesting free speech. If they can actively threaten developers to not release games, we should activelly encourage them to do so. Maybe even starting a foundation dedicated to gathering money to do so. I mean, I amm pretty much sure devs are more interested in earning millions than dealing with this fanatics. So meybe if they got money only for releasing the game they would be more encouraged. I am talking about a charity dedicated to the release of games. And if they can make stupid Change.org petitions to ruin others we can make counter petitions to fix their harm. We must fight back, without violence, but relentlessly. We must defend those they attack, not only in gaming, but in all topics.
