That so many idiots not living in the USA would care so much about who its President is

That parents would start grooming their children to become another gender before they're even teens

That the UK upheld a ''harmful communications'' law that restricts freedom of expression when a very similar one was overturned in India a few years before

That people will praise a character shooter with fixed characters and loadouts over a shooter with a character creation system for being more diverse

That most western leftists would be blind to (or more likely, don't care about,) class differences

That retards would want games to have the options they want or call it racist / sexist / mahgoanistic but not care about anything else in the game

That we would see more news about sexist airconditioning, sexist representations of women in media and statistics raping claims about a pay gap than about illegal sex trafficking, even though only one of the four are important

Pheace: That Foosball'd completely die out in my hometown and apparently in most of the Netherlands :(
My brother was amazing. He'd go against tournament winners and never have a point scored against him. I'd play about 40 points on before I'd get one.

No money in it though.

For me, phones. The amount people pay every month just to check Facebook is nuts. I've heard young kids say they have$200 phone bills and they're broke. It's crazy. What could you possibly be doing worth $200? Buy a cheap plan and save your money. Retirement is so much better than Facebook (or Instagram or Snapchat or any of that crap).

Donald Trump being president. That one still gets me. Overall, he's done a much better job than I expected. News won't give him an inch but the truth is out there (XXX files in this case). My favorite was that news said in one breath that the wall was useless and never going to work and that the wall was keeping out 3000 migrants who were trying to enter illegally without normal asylumm process and that was enough. (Edot:. I should add that I expected complete and utter failure. I still think we're spending way too much, but am happy about immigration movement, economic moves, Korea movement).

I'm blown away that the u.s. had people who are against being a nation of laws.

I would never guess that the u.s. would abort 1.2 million babies every year. That is just staggering to me. And young people just don't have babies anymore. All of my friends under 30 have no plans to have children. My married nieces and nephews have only had one so far. I sort of expected more. We were drilled about overpopulation and hardly being able to drive or walk in the future, but now the birth rate is so small that growth isn't happening. ( This is USA of course - works is still growing). Only 3.9 million births per year.

Gas is still here. I sat in a class and was told that when I was 40, fossil fuels would be gone or to expensive to purchase.

The price of video games and computers. For$100, you can grab a raspberry pi and download enough games to last the rest of your life. Or pay $20000 for all the options to drive a train. Or pay $600,000 for a single building in a multiplayer game.

I would never imagine people still playing empire Earth. I thought my family were the only crazy ones still playing it.

Lastly, bully-shaming. I'm amazed that we treat bullies so poorly. Bullies are people too. They need corrected, sure. But no bully when they are 10 are bullies when they're 40. Well, few anyway. Most are struggling with issues. So certainly, stop the bullying. But I've seen some pretty ugly stuff come out where the perceived bully is viciously bullied by a community. And often, the bully doesn't realize he or she is the bully. They may even be simply retaliating and that a sneakier bully is seeing them up.

+1
That GOG would enable public profiles for every user without ever asking.
Also that developping the star wars franchise would be a bad idea.

Also that fascist leaders would emerge again less than one century after ww2.

Also that certain people with whom i intended to spend more time would die in their 20s.

Also that the abilities that i had stopped developing (because grown ups wanted me to focus on serious stuff) would turn out the most precious.

Also that, amongst my friends, my favorite couples would split.

Also that greed would consume people so hilariously fast around the slightest inheritance. Truly, humans are not done eating their dead.

You didn't expect such an obvious thing?
The entire world is simply worried that a big and powerful nation elected an idiot as president.
The unexpected thing is that Trump won in the first place.

We absolutely should not care about the man who declared half of the world as enemy being the president of the most powerful and aggressive country in the world. :)

From what I've read, Bush was also a big idiot and I don't see half the tears I see about him and his 2 terms. Also, there weren't this many personal attacks against a guy and his family until Trump (maybe B. Clinton?) but what I see online is mostly people talking about him like he borrowed his car and returned it with an empty fueltank or made them stub their toe.

Also, many big powerful countries have gone through political turbulence recently (ie Brexit, China effectively having an irremovable dictator) and people around the world didn't assume a duty to embarrass the responsible party.

Who even has time to whine about another country's politics over their own? Unless their own country is perfect, I'd guess that would either be the rich and privileged or the unemployed and stupid. Keep in mind I'm talking about people who are on about Trump 24/7 and not people legitimately criticising his political decisions.

Either way, the level of ad hominem against (and by) Trump has probably raised that bar, so we can look forward to even more entertainment when the US plays musical chairs next time.

Compassion for the plight of their fellow people, indeed a strange thing.

But a whole lot of things internationally do hinge on American leadership and on its leader just as well.

Trump has destroyed the international spirit of co-operation. He is threatening, one by one, former agreements because all he can see them as is "bad deals". Trump has practically abandoned international diplomacy. He's brought a horrific uncertainty into the threat of nuclear war. He can't be said to have real "allies" any more. If he communicates with other leaders at all, it's usually threats and insults. He only ever seems to get along with dictators, but really well with those. He treats trade as war and hence threatens stability world-wide. He uses war to deflect from his personal failings and diverse criminal activities. He has given away the element of surprise that the new rocket technology could have held and helped the Syrian dictator tremendously because of course now Putin will supply anti-rocket tech to Syria. The lies, the corruption, the verbal weapon arsenal of memes and conspiracy nonsense that brought him the presidency is sweeping over the globe.

America has been, through Democrat and Republican presidents, a steady, stable and reliable partner in international relationships (Yes, in comparison to Trump, EVEN GEORGE WALKER BUSH).

Trump reduced that legacy to rubble.

And of course the American lead culture also has an influence on proceedings elsewhere. Shootings by American example have always been the thing. But America was also the leader and has led by example in battling racism and homophobia, in scientific discovery, in welcoming people from all over the world.

Now it's just trash.

Well, there are fanatics on both sides.
Also, Trump doesn't favor moderation at all..
