The game Not Tonight is 2.5 of 5 stars now.
But all(3) of its reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

Since they do not match to each other, I checked its Steam page.
It is Very Positive (95% of the 61 user reviews) now.

No, I know nothing about the game, and do not buy it yet.
Buy why it have so low score here?

Not many GOG games have a 2.5 stars or lower score you know?

The simple answer to this question is that you can rate a game without reviewing it. So there were obviously several people who didn't like the game who didn't consider it worth their time to write why.

there were a shitload of bogus 1 star reviews. The reviews were deleted, the scores were not.

You can rate without purchasing here. Take a look what the game is about and what kind of people tend to frequent this forum and I think you have your answer.

I was just about to make a new thread about how GoG deleted a bunch of reviews while a 5star top review popped up and had like 50 approved rating instantly. I never expected GoG to be a such a shit stains.

Probably because it was an actual review in a sea of both anti and pro reviews by users who didn't play the game.

The easiest solution to that little problem is a buyer verification for all reviews and an option to prioritize those reviews. Also a minimum number of characters would be good, it may discourage all the "this game sucks" and "greatest game ever!" and "doesn't work on windows 8" and "I really loved this as kid! " reviews that clog up the review pages.

So just to give an overview of the review situation:

1) A number of reviews were posted that exclusively consisted of political rants with no mention of the game's quality or lack of. This is not a review

2) Fake reviews that were both pro and anti-Brexit were posted, they were both deleted equally.

3) The only two review left are reviews that talk about the game and what the game consists of. These are fine, as they're actually reviews.

4) All of the fake reviews were posted by users who did not own the game.


We understand the game is political by nature. Whether you are pro or anti is irrelevant, the key factor is leaving an actual review of the game.


I hope this clears things up.

Your post was locked due to me explaining why reviews were deleted. There was no other value to be gained from it. As for classy, when you refrain from spouting out expletives while ignoring replies to your concerns, you can then talk about classy.

Pardon me, but the stance just in the game's description alone is so insulting to people that it SHOULD be reviewed on that. It's also shocking that GOG would fall so low to let such a nasty propaganda piece into their catalogue. It's not just a game, it's a political statement. A pretty nasty one at that.

Interesting that all the deleted ones were with one star and pro brexit. When a game is political,criticising the political views of the game are valid reviews in my book. I don't mind the deletion of reviews that didn't own the game....more or less. That is fare,still i kind of doubt it.

Also be kind enough to define "civil" as i didn't insult you in any way.
