Deals so good, you won't want to fall asleep.
You remember back when you used to walk into a store, browse the shelves, pick out a game, and then buy it--all in the actual real world? We don't know about you, but most of us at GOG.com have had our limbs atrophy to small vestigial nubbins since all of our shopping happens online these days. Of course, one thing that sometimes happens in real world stores with real world goods--particularly when they have a good sale--is that they run out of stock. Usually that means that the deal was so good that they couldn't keep up with demand.

Well, in the digital realm, this is usually pretty rare. How do you run out of stock on digital games, short of entropy devouring the universe? Well, we have gotten 101 games that will be on sale on the front page of GOG.com, but the discounts are so high at the moment that we can't just sell an unlimited number of copies of these games: we are only able to sell a few at these discounts--up to 80% off--and once they're gone, they're gone.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)--if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once. So it's time to bathe in a tub of coffee*, dip some espresso**, snort an energy drink***, or do whatever else it takes to stay up so you don't miss out on the best deals on fantastic games on GOG.com since summer.
*This is probably not a good idea
**This is definitely not a good idea
***This is totally safe, though****
****NO IT'S NOT WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CRAZY PERSON

Total Keanehilation!
This one will take quiet a long time, I fear..
Puddle is so much more fun on the Wii U, lounging in bed, playing off-tv with gyro controls.
I'm gonna puddle in my bed, if any of you have an extra copy of Psychonauts PM me and I'll get to you later with the trade. I will use your Paypal email to transfer money I guess. And yes, my wallet is bleeding too much to buy the one on week-end sale lol

Good Keane everyone

dedoporno: Wait, what? Icewind Dale has a sequel?! Was that on the sale? Did it pass already?

Bring forth "The List"!

EX-Deimon: It wasn't included in the sale. Should be on xmas sale though.
Phew! Thanks for that. For a moment there I was upset I wasn't able to complete my RPG bundle out pf pure ignorance.

You mean "Fluidity", right?

Nope, Puddle, it's on the eShop.

RPGOracle: I don't know how you guys manage to get any of the free promos at all. I've been trying all weekend, have seen about 6 or 7 free promos come along, and for 4 of them, I clicked the promo the second it appeared on my screen (don't even know what game it was for, didn't take the time to read that)... every single time, the follow-up screen told me "sorry, this offer has expired".

Does it have something to do with my location (Western Europe)... am I too far from the main server to receive the offers in time? Anyway, I definitely hope GoG will come up with a better way to handle these freebies.
Other than that, I love the games that are on offer this weekend, and have purchased several of them (even some that I already owned in their original disc-based packages). It's a bit hard to find the ones that I am interested in, but they're well worth waiting for!
I think it was explained away once as a combination of fast servers and luck. The trick is that, when you're just sitting on the front page, the number/game updates itself every 2 seconds or so. Now, here's a situation in which it's impossible to get a freebie(or sometimes even see it):

1. The last copy of a game sells 0.01 second into your "update cycle".
2. Anyone who gets their update in the 1.99 seconds before you do gets a crack at the free game before you even know it's there.
3. If every free copy goes before you update, you never even see that one was there.

Now, this is somewhat extreme. The more realistic situation is that you, and 1000+ other people see a free game. Everybody clicks at once. Chaos ensues.
Another slow seller, already own but haven´t played it so I can´t say if it´s good or not.

All of the D&D titles are top selling items on GOG consistently and are in almost every major blowout sale event for 75-80% off. Usually in a bundle where you get a higher discount the more of them you buy, but you're credited for games you already own on GOG from past purchases or gifts so you don't have to buy them again for the deep discount.

If you're missing any just wait a few weeks, I'll be shocked if they don't put them all on sale before January. Last December I got all 10 of the AD&D games for $20 roughly give or take a couple bucks. (minus NWN2 which wasn't here until earlier this year). You can't beat that level of awesome easily. :)

skeletonbow: I am mostly a keyboard/mouse player, but I do have a Logitech cordless Rumblepad 2 here that such games might work well with, and if not I'll just use kbd/mouse. I've got a Logitech G600 so lots of buttons to assign to shit, makes games old and new shine. ;o)
I need to get something like that. I've got an application that makes heavy use of Alt - ~, which may possibly be the most annoying key combo I've ever had the displeasure to use. I'd love to map it to a mouse button. Mind you, the G600 is probably way overkill for that. About 10 less buttons would still meet my needs. :-)
Games still to come:

Brutal Legend $3.74
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller $10.09
Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Ed $1.49
Expeditions: Conquistador $4.99
Heroes of Might & Magic 3: Complete Ed $2.49
Jade Empire: Special Ed $2.99
King of Dragon Pass $1.49
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver $1.49
Psychonauts $2.49
Spellforce Platinum $2.49
Sword of the Stars: The Pit $2.09
Thief Gold $1.99
Thief 2: Metal Age $1.99
Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings $5.99
Although I don't believe in, but has someone of you still spare key for NWN2? In first round I was parsimonious (damned) and then missed second and third chances:( What a miserable goger am I.
Thanks for your time

oh, I didn't see the "U"... yep, seems like an ideal game for that.

Godlike13: well, if u're interested to trade that for something else...... :)
All I have to trade is a copy of Jade Empire...
