HEADS UP. Download is for Epic's client, not the game directly. Looks like client is required for the game. You will be required to make an Epic account and install their client to get the game.

BAD FORM. Still, thanks SCPM for posting this.

EDIT TO ADD: And their servers just went down temporarily.... So I'm stuck with a really shitty client for now that takes forever to load and connect and I can't even start installing the game I was trying to get to begin with. Would rather buy the game and be free of this nonsensical shit.

I'm really just pissed that their website is so misleading. "DOWNLOAD THE GAME HERE!" You click and it's a download for their fucking client installer.

Unfortunately yes, it requires Epic's client to play. I assume, because I installed it and tried to run it but I can't find the 'Play' button for the game in the client, and running the executable directly does nothing. =\ It's late here so I'll have to try again tomorrow after work.

I'm sorry, but if you don't get this, you're missing out on one of the best Metroidvanias since Super Metroid. But but but DRM! Who cares, it's free, you have NOTHING to lose.

That's not what anyone is complaining about.

We downloaded the file, and we get the client but no game. That's the problem.

EDIT: The game now appears in the client Library section. Hooray!

Another game client is a deal breaker for me. So no free game, and no DRM. I'm okay with that.

The game is great, I own it for the X360. Not going to bother getting the PC version though, because of the forced client (and since I already own it). I can definitely recommend the game to those who don't mind installing the client, though.
