The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III is one of those games.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III is the grand finale to the Van Helsing legacy as presented by Neocore Games. It's a gothic-noir, steampunk universe where mad science roams free, as do it's deadly byproducts. You are the son of Abraham Van Helsing - the legend - and the hunt flows through your blood. You are the killer the world needs right now, and this particularly relentless hack'n'slash will be your playground.

Hack, slash, and blast away in The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III, available now on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for five days until Monday, September 21, 12:59 PM GMT.

vicklemos: I didn't know these games were so unforgivingly hard. They surely look like an approachable action game, no joke.
Ah, its not so hard, afterall you can't die ever :)

Gnostic: Van Helsing Final Cut itself cost $45 and I doubt it will have much discount in a long time.
Maybe after a long long time only will you see 75% discount.
I don't think it'll be that long until we'll see the game heavily discounted.
We'll see, time will tell in the end :)
Thanks for this! A trilogy complete! Maybe we'll also get the Final Cut some day ;)

I also hope to see the Crusade and King Arthur games from these guys eventually. And Deathtrap for that matter.

Scored it!
Insta-bought! In order to make the trilogy complete.

was watching reviews and they mentioned how pain staking the crafting system is. The hud is also a bit awful, and the levelling up system requires much thought.
edit: I say this, because that's where the difficulty seems to lie the most.

I should read to see if these things are getting overhauled even a little.

Smannesman: So has it been established if the final cut will always be free on GOG, or just if you own the three titles when it is released?
Because 50% off on a regionally priced and overall negatively received game is not that attractive.
avatar
Grargar: Nope, nothing has been established as of yet. The developers aren't even sure if they do this for Steam.
I thought the GoG staff confirmed here?

HunchBluntley: Pff, Life -- terrible game. Unbalanced as hell, plus it barely runs on my computer. I'd give it a 4 out of 10. Avoid.

phaolo: Lol true.
Also:
- needs a lot of grinding.
- skills and stats gain is limited overall.
- low HP and many 1-hit-kill dangers.
- tiny inventory.
- always hardcore (permadeath) and MP.
- no save-scumming.
- the RNG is broken.
- only 1 character; no reroll.
- max 1 game? If not, you'll probably have to restart at level 0 (no quit).
- no cheat or hacks.
- server won't stay on forever.
- evil characters are OP.
I think there are some cheats/hacks. Also, the classes are badly balanced.

At least the graphics are pretty good. But graphics alone don't make a good game, right? :P

last paragraph
I meant about whether access to the Final Cut was guaranteed to people who bought the Van Helsing games after the Final Cut's release. Even the developers aren't sure if they are going to do so for Steam.

MightyPinecone: F'ing microtransactions everywhere...
avatar
paladin181: And sadly, most are necessary to keep going. "Pay $7.99 for food or start starving"
Totally sucks.
Oh, and don't get me started on the AI, other than 1 or 2 main characters, dimmer than broken 1 watt bulb :o)
Uh, the discount is still going even for the previous titles. O_o
Nice

Maybe it will end along with the Indie Pinata promo.
