This Summer Sale on GOG.COM starts with a journey into outer space. In Prey, a climatic sci-fi FPS game, our hero awakes aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. It appears that he was the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever - but at some point, things have gone wrong. The space station is now being overrun by hostile aliens and now your goal can be only one - survival.

Until the end of Summer Sale - on 15th June, 1 PM UTC - Prey is available on GOG.COM with a special 70% discount.
Didn't really occur to me until just now but I guess this will be bound to end up on the "games that treat GOG customers as second class citizens" list since I doubt it includes the Typhon Hunter multiplayer/VR game.

Nice to see this released here but yeah, that's the most overhyped game I've played in a while. :P

Unfortunately,no multiplayer mode for this version.

PLEASE NOTE:
This version of Prey does not include the multiplayer DLC - Prey: Typhon Hunter.
Prey? This is NOT Prey! This is some game from 2018, not the original Prey.
Ok Bethesda, if you are really serious about GOG, I want to see DOOM (and Eternal) here asap.

Overhyped?
So here I am again paying to remove Denuvo and/ or Bethesda.net from the games I like. But it's worth it!

and oh, yes great game, thanks GOG!

PS: Hoping to see WS: New Colossus here soon.

That one seems to be the last true "modern" solo-play title from Bethesda. So it will surely be next.

Then we come to the more problematic titles with online-components like "Doom", "Skyrim", "Fallout 4", "Wolfenstein Youngblood", "Rage 2". I hope GOG/Bethesda is willing to invest money and work hours into them to patch the online-components out. And than they will get flag for that from people who want 1:1 Steam-Versions. :(

I hope the old, more unknown titles come, too. We are still missing a bunch of them unfortunately...

heretic_fiend: My steam-account is getting more and more obsolete...

I LOVE IT! :D
I never had one. Patience is key with games coming to GOG. You can tell that more and more big game studios and publishers want their games on GOG.

Yea, GOG cant support all online features games have, some online features are part of publishers/devs own multiplayer feature, some are tied to Steam. GOG is great for singleplayer games and if they had all these games with multiplayer, we kinda are back to DRM because multiplayer requires one to be online. So its a tricky thing for GOG.

This with Exodus, what a big day for surprises!

AB2012: Prey (2017) is closer to the System Shocks than either Prey (2006) or Bioshocks. As for "Mankind Divided" style issues, that was pretty unique for that game given the awful "pay per play" DLC, which fortunately most other games don't have. So assuming they removed Denuvo properly (and didn't mess anything else up), it shouldn't have the same "DLC DRM check" issues that DX:MD did.
Seemed that way to me, which seems like a good news to me, because I absolutely adore System Shock 1 (despite only finishing first level of that game) and don't like Bioshock 1. I did like original Prey though, even if it is completely different game type. It had unique style.
is this game really drm-free? even dlc? can I play it without gog galaxy and offline? I want to be sure before I buy after the last time with deus ex MD.
is Prey: Mooncrash any good?

We are still missing the following old titles:

- "Doom 3" + Expansion (Old Version)
- "Doom 64" (quite new Release)
- "Hunted - The Demon's Forge"
- "Rage"
- "Rogue Warrior"
- "Brink"
- "Prey" (Old Version)
- "Wolfenstein 2009" (rights in Limbo?)
- "Heretic" (rights problematic)
- "Hexen" + Expansion (rights problematic)
- "Commander Keen"-Collection (rights problematic)
- "Heretic 2" (rights in Limbo?)
- "Hexen 2" + Expansion (rights in Limbo?)

If we count out the problematic titles, not TOO many left unpublished here. Let's hold the hope up. :)
Much as I would have loved to see the original Prey here, this too is a really nice surprise. I didn't expect to see this game released on GOG anytime soon. Bought right away.
