This Summer Sale on GOG.COM starts with a journey into outer space. In Prey, a climatic sci-fi FPS game, our hero awakes aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. It appears that he was the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever - but at some point, things have gone wrong. The space station is now being overrun by hostile aliens and now your goal can be only one - survival.

Until the end of Summer Sale - on 15th June, 1 PM UTC - Prey is available on GOG.COM with a special 70% discount.
Yes, please!
Keep it coming, I am starting to like bethesda as a publisher!

Mafwek: I would like to know does it have problems with DRM similar to Mankind Divided, at it's release?
It never had an in-game store, so it shouldn't.

Lone_Scout: Is this one any good?
While completely different from the old Prey, I think it is a far better game on its own. If you enjoyed any of the System Shocks you should very much like this. It's kind of a spiritual successor to that series.

Mr.Mumbles: Without even knowing the actual make of your GPU, I'm fairly confident it'll run very poorly if at all. After all, min sys specs are 2GB VRAM. Sorry. =/
Oh well....hmm, I wonder if there is a demo(legal demo) out there I can test first.

Thanks for the info as well, btw.

Excellent. Instabought.

Let's get those Rage games here next, Bethesda. Followed by Wolf 2.

Hear, hear! :)
How does this relate to Prey (2006)?

Lone_Scout: Ouch, I thought it was the older Prey (2006). Is this one any good?

Mafwek: I really liked Bioshock: Infinite, is this game similar?

Nah, just kidding. I know how it plays more or less. I would like to know does it have problems with DRM similar to Mankind Divided, at it's release?
Prey (2017) is closer to the System Shocks than either Prey (2006) or Bioshocks. As for "Mankind Divided" style issues, that was pretty unique for that game given the awful "pay per play" DLC, which fortunately most other games don't have. So assuming they removed Denuvo properly (and didn't mess anything else up), it shouldn't have the same "DLC DRM check" issues that DX:MD did.

Prey (2017) is more "inspired by Prey (2006)" rather than being an actual sequel. The actual real sequel to Prey (2006) was called Prey 2 but that was sadly cancelled:-

mqstout: How does this relate to Prey (2006)?
It doesn't. They just reused the name for "reasons". *shrug*

It doesn't. They only share the name because someone in marketing apparently though it was a good idea. @_@

It doesn't, sadly. I would also like to see Prey (2006) here in the GOG library.

BTW: nice release.

I'm so glad this is finally free of Denuvo. Thank you!

And Metro Exodus on the same day, I almost did a happy dance.
