Not Tonight is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until August 24th, 3 PM UTC.

Great Britain isn’t so great anymore. Democracy lies in ruins. The power of the people is just a myth. You find yourself fighting to scrape by, every struggle has an end, but Not Tonight.

Not Tonight combines time management with RPG elements, all baked into a politically charged story. Your choices matter, so keep your head down and exist or fight the regime.

LucianX: Was there a single member on the dev team (and maybe even the pub) that wasn't a fanatical Marxist? I'm dead serious. This game is a transparent piece of propaganda to the point where even reading the description looks like one of Marx's diatribes. I'm all for political commentary in games (Deus Ex is GOAT), but this is Ethnic Cleansing/Zog's nightmare tier one-sided (albeit from the opposite side).

(Edited to rephrase question better)

Arundir: Well according to the games description "Citizens of European heritage have been rounded up and exiled.", which basically means there are also no british people anymore in Great Britain. Which begs the question who does run this far right dystopia?

Unless the devs make the claim that Great Britain as a country does no longer belong to the continent of Europe because they left the supranational governmental strucutre of the EU. According to that Switzerland, Norway would also no longer be european countries....this sounds a bit totalitarian.

Perhaps China or Japan have invaded Great Britain...who knows....
It was probably Aliens or Russian bots. Maybe even both.
It's always the Russians, just ask a Democrat in the US, they'll tell you.

Russians made them do a bunch of shady stuff so it could be leaked and get people ticked off at them.

Starmaker: The game looks awesome, but your webpage is suspect. Can you confirm the game doesn't have spyware?
[emphasis added]

Could you elaborate on the part I highlighted?

Not Buying...sorry, I'll see myself out in a second.

Kudos to the developers for putting forth a work that appears to have a lot of their personal interest and love put into it. Personally I am not a fan of political games unless it is fantasy political systems. Also, I'm sure this varies by region, but in my region, it is very grating how "I'm left-wing. I'm not racist!" is held up as some kind of proud, iconoclastic declaration, as if the year were closer to 1818 instead of 2018.

So, I can't say I am interested in the game, nor on board with the political approach, but I do appreciate the effort in principle and thank you devs for that. Contrary to some, I do NOT feel games should be universal and appeal to all tastes. I think the specialization of markets should be cherished, I think "niche" games are a good thing. More generally speaking, specialization is what provides for a DRM-free store like GOG in the first place. So for any devs (not just of this game), please keep making specialized products, even if this means some people will end up not buying.

Also, anti-kudos to the developers for, as far as I can see, so far not responding to the criticisms of those in this thread who do not agree with their politics.

mechmouse: Given the amount of grief I gave the developer over Descenders, I seriously impressed the developer has released it here.

I'm definitely supporting them on this

MikeRose: Haha I thought I might see you pop up here! <3
VIP festivals on cheese festivals are breaking the game.
When you get complains (the wrong password, VIP should be allowed, etc) and then go back to checking tickets of normal folks you can accept them nor refuse; the game just stuck (time still passes and you can select a reason for not allowing entry but you still can't give it back). Day 2, happen twice so far.
Papers Please was solid, but there was something a bit silly about its vintage settings. So it sounds like a good idea with a more contemporary dystopia. Wonder if the game is good? I don't really have a solid feel about it. Hopefully, we will see some reviews from people who have, like, played the game.

Are you suggesting that the reviews currently up aren't reliable? :P

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, those things are a joke. XD
