Not Tonight is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until August 24th, 3 PM UTC.

Great Britain isn’t so great anymore. Democracy lies in ruins. The power of the people is just a myth. You find yourself fighting to scrape by, every struggle has an end, but Not Tonight.

Not Tonight combines time management with RPG elements, all baked into a politically charged story. Your choices matter, so keep your head down and exist or fight the regime.

Zoidberg: Videogames are entertainement but they slowly become more than that, and that's fine. It's a means of expression, like writing, music or cinema.
Actually, they don't become. They already became means of expression quite a long time ago. It's just people who expressed their views in earlier times were not so radical, high flown and hypocritical. And their views expressed in their games were not so ham-fisted.

Trrue, but still, videogames can be better, and they can only become better if people make them better, so... :P

wingboner: To be honest, the increasing politicization of games in general is part of why I shy away from new games these days. That and how pretentious and diva-like game developers can get (coughsPhil Fishcoughs). And while on topic of this game, it doesn't even seem to have the decency to hide behind a fictional world or cheeky allusions.

Or maybe I'm too old for this shit, ehhh.
More like you're too old to be this childish.
You can still play your pointless action games in fictional worlds, but it was always pathetic that politically critical computer games hid behind fictional settings, like or example papers please, or that adventure game about the coup in Chile on 9/11 1973.

Erm, I'm too lazy to dig through 4 pages of chitter-chatter to get to the bottom of this - why does the game have 2 and a half stars? Because it's set in Great Britain?

It's a bunch of propoganda bullshit and GOG is censoring reviews to boot.

gixgox: Voted with my wallet: bought.
Voted with my wallet: not bought

A thoroughly mediocre looking indie-game, asking a stupid high price of 20 bucks and comparing itself to one of the best indie-games ever made.

Papers please was showered with awards, justifiably so, and could ask for 20 bucks on release.

This, eh. No.

RawSteelUT: That's sort of the problem with the far-left/far-right culture warriors and their attempts to make entertainment. They're so fixated on pushing a narrative that they can't make engaging entertainment. The God's Not Dead movies and Ghostbusters 2016 come across that way, for example. It's fine to be political, but I don't think anyone really responds one way or the other to a heavy-handed approach.
When you apply your own political bias to making movies such as Ghostbusters 2016 the quality of the movie will never be anything less than a travesty. I doubt Paul Feig or left wing critics learned their lesson unfortunately.
