Buenro-games: Are the characters in this game over 18?
Yes, although there is one character who will tell you she is 1 in cat years, which is a number that can mean 18 in human years. The game was released in the United States and you cannot have characters engaged in sexual activity if they are under 18 here, real or not.

Gah. I'm just a Welsch, it took me ages to get what you meant with "Eidgenossen".

Also of course it was. Was it even a mystery ? They could have just asked me, I have all the names.

(Anecdotically, I just looked up Tatort to check once and for all if it was a character name or just the location-of-the-deed, and I discovered that the music was by Klaus Doldinger. Maybe I should check these german series more seriously, one of these days, instead of screaming and running away each time my uncle and aunt try to force another one upon me.)

I hope my "Bring HuniePop to gog pls"-thread had something to do with gog reconsidering their stance on selling this game. Because I'm still hoping to see an eventual gog release of "Five Finger Death Punch". :D

Magnitus: I don't see what explicit content has to do with social justice. More generally, I don't see what sex related things have to do with social justice unless there is exploitation involved (ex: people being forced into prostitution by poverty or rape).

For progressives, there is no relation there.

Fesin: A lot of the internet-tumblr-feminist crowd (aka "Social Justice Warriors") is extremely sex negative and views every kind of sexual portrayal of women as exploitative. The HuniePop developers got attacked a lot from these circles.
Erm, I think you're being misled. I'm a feminist, gamer and internet connoisseur. I'm also extremely sex positive. Games that subtlely objectify women are not sex positive, they are sex negative. They encourage the social role of the woman as a sexual object. I have a problem with some eroge, but it's less subversive than games that slip negative imagery in so that it doesn't take center stage,

There's a line between this, which is just a silly game that makes no effort to hide what it portrays, and games that have a focus elsewhere and helpless, shallowly written female characters exist on the margins of the game both narratively and thematically.

Steam has the uncensored version. You just have to unlock it by making a file with a specific file name.
