No Man's Sky a science-fiction game set in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy, is available to pre-order now — DRM-free on GOG.com

Intergalactic travel changes the notion of time. Unimaginable speeds connect impossibly distant worlds, dilating lifetimes, blending generations. A round-trip may find your world aged and unrecognizable, separated from your loved ones, irrevocably alien. In an intergalactic society, only the few set off towards the stars — explorers, those unafraid and with nothing to lose. They set off never to come back as far as our lifetimes are concerned. And thus, we still look up at an infinite sky, now within our reach, yet still untouched — a no man's land, a No Man's Sky.

No Man's Sky promises discovery of an infinite, uncharted universe. Its billions of stars, planets, unknown living creatures, breathtaking sights and lonely wastelands — all seamlessly connected — populated with explorers drawn to the distant mysteries of the horizon, eager to leave a permanent mark in their wake.
The frontier is merciless and dangerous. Exposed to a universe of extremities in your fragile suit and ship, you'll need resources and upgrades to get far — as well as the means stand your ground in fight.
Whether you journey to the center of it all or seek out the farthest reaches of existence, the trip will not be simple or dull. You'll catalogue things unseen, discover alien artifacts and reveal mysteries of the universe. If you survive.

The pre-order incentive for No Man's Sky includes the Horizon Omega ship — faster engines, better guns, all to kickstart your trip and help you survive longer on the interstellar journey.

JMich: Grumble, now to see which release dates to use in the spreadsheet...
I just use month and year. Doesn't work for everything but looks like that'll work for this one ;)

Breja: Pre-order my ass.

Wait, that came out wrong.
lol lol

But yes I will wait for the reviews first.

Being a science-fiction and space lover I will definitely but it on gog if the reviews are okay.

hmmm......
Very impressive to see this arriving here, I did not expect that. I'm not surprised about the price though. Looking forward to playing this, it looks like a great AAA game that is primarly focused on exploration even if it's done with procedural generation.
Interesting, but pre-order and regional pricing?
Besides, with a price like that I'll definitely wait for a couple of reviews.
Beautiful rendered world, but no clue about a story.
And.... that was a dinosaur hit by a flyng ship ???

Sounds like an incentive to wait for a big discount.
Not at that bloody price.
This looks like my kind of game... Now, which bank could I rob to be able to afford it...
Surprised and happy to see No Man's Sky on gog. Thanks to the publisher! Going to need to hold off on a purchase for a while due to funds but certainly interested in the title.
It seems expensive, placed next to games with a lot less scope. But I remember buying boxed games at this price that were way way less ambitious.

Not saying that I can afford that of course. I will definitely wishlist this though.
Wishlisted until the following has happened:

- I have more money to spend on gaming or the price goes down (on a sale or in a few years)
- I have a better computer (i.e. money to spend on buying or building one)
- Good reviews
- I have a better idea what the game is about and what you can or can't do in it.

Smannesman: Interesting, but pre-order and regional pricing?
I'm seeing zero regional pricing for me: £39.99 ($57.89 if I switch to USD prices).

I'll echo on the waiting for reviews, which will be easy for me considering the staggered release dates
impressive new releases on GOG latterly, applause to the CDP team :)
