No Man's Sky a science-fiction game set in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy, is available to pre-order now — DRM-free on GOG.com

Intergalactic travel changes the notion of time. Unimaginable speeds connect impossibly distant worlds, dilating lifetimes, blending generations. A round-trip may find your world aged and unrecognizable, separated from your loved ones, irrevocably alien. In an intergalactic society, only the few set off towards the stars — explorers, those unafraid and with nothing to lose. They set off never to come back as far as our lifetimes are concerned. And thus, we still look up at an infinite sky, now within our reach, yet still untouched — a no man's land, a No Man's Sky.

No Man's Sky promises discovery of an infinite, uncharted universe. Its billions of stars, planets, unknown living creatures, breathtaking sights and lonely wastelands — all seamlessly connected — populated with explorers drawn to the distant mysteries of the horizon, eager to leave a permanent mark in their wake.
The frontier is merciless and dangerous. Exposed to a universe of extremities in your fragile suit and ship, you'll need resources and upgrades to get far — as well as the means stand your ground in fight.
Whether you journey to the center of it all or seek out the farthest reaches of existence, the trip will not be simple or dull. You'll catalogue things unseen, discover alien artifacts and reveal mysteries of the universe. If you survive.

The pre-order incentive for No Man's Sky includes the Horizon Omega ship — faster engines, better guns, all to kickstart your trip and help you survive longer on the interstellar journey.

Reach out and touch the No Man's Sky, available for pre-orders now, DRM-free on GOG.com! The game is scheduled to be released on June 21st in North America, June 22nd in Europe and Australia, and June 24th in the UK and Rest of World.

No idea if the original console versions were due same time as computers or not though.

Luned: They were. Hello Games should have made the same post on ALL sales outlets, not just the PlayStation blog. Bad form. The post from Sean Murray never states outright that the PC version is also delayed, but it does imply that.
I guess they maybe panicked, but they should`ve done it clearer as to what/where/when.

Beta leaks now!! I remember how enjoyable Age of Conan was in the beginning, it had similar but less intense bugs.

The image of buildings walking is a flashback to the old 1950s cartoons, or was that dancing, I forget.
But space stations docking with space stations...?

"You see son, that is how baby stations are born" lol

Really hope they did get footage of these things :D

Ranting Public "Hmm, here`s an idea. Seeing as he has now delayed the game so that he can fix it for release, let`s threaten to kill him."

Normal folks "Erm, if you do that, he won`t be able to fix & release it at all."

Seems like some people are really passionate about No Man's Sky. So passionate that they have sent death threats on the developers in response to the delay news:

GOG has changed the text on the game's preorder page, so the delay is also for the PC version:

The game is scheduled to be released on August 9th in North America, August 10th in Europe and Australia, and August 12th in the UK and Rest of World.
Did they ever give a reasonable reason for the UK getting it later than anywhere else?

In this day & age, brick & mortar day sales is stupid, even more so for a digital only product.
Compounded by the fact that it is a UK firm, giving the UK players the last chance to get at it lol.

Okay fill in the interested parties! Do tell - and how long is the new delay?
Either they aren`t paying their bills or the fates are trying to stop this release ;)
Okay I don't Twitter (yet?) but was hugely interested in this release - what's going on? Should I try and search something? I'm not usually big into clicking random search hits when I don't know the source so I'm not sure who would have legitimate news on this.
