sedricm: Argh! Humbug. I saw reports of Homeworld and Wasteland 2 and of course foolishly lunged for the pinata hub...only to get nothing of the kind! Figures. Oh well, one of the three IS actually one that seems superior to both of my first two picks;
Avadon: The Black Fortress is something I'm not sure I've even heard of, but even if I had, I'm fairly certain I'd not've batted an eyelash towards it, especially at $10. But I hadn't anticipated it would be primarily a sneaky RPG instead of a military-esque one, and I've never tried a "Spiderweb" studio game before...but I'm thinking that's an error that needs correcting!! SO, a victory of sorts.
I'll almost certainly not be playing
Darkest Dungeon or
Metro 2033 Redux, though I know they are widely acclaimed...but heck, if someone here is a passionate fan of either, let me know, I'm somewhat open to persuasion, given some reviews I've seen.
The Avadon's games are supposed to be good - I have them, haven't played them yet.
. . . been trying since the start to get Darkest Dungeon and several others that everyone else seems to be popping :(
