I got Avadon: The Black Fortress

Since I have over 3000 games on steam, the chance of Pinata duplicates holds a whole new horror for me.

Not the only reason - with store credit, one's actual, real money stays with GOG, i.e. no reverse transaction which also costs real money.

Very nice. I'm interested in all of them and except for Faces of War the Pinata price was probably the best deal ever for the games here on GOG.

And that's it for me. Bought more than 30 Pinatas, got several great games (and very few that I didn't want), missed three games that I hoped for (Thimbleweed Park, Pillars of Eternity, The Signal from Tölva) and all in all had a good time with this sale. Hope they will repeat it (or a similar one) next year.

Battlezone was an OK win since I didn't own it anywhere but Anomaly 2 I have on steam and DRM-Free with Humblebundle. I am not refunding it though simply because I don't own it on GoG. I'd probably only request a refund if I got a game I already own on GoG from the pinata because it's a pain in the ass to give it away.

Of course they have another motivation to offer store credit as well. What I wanted to say is that GOG does not force you to accept a store credit at all (even if they would profit from it). Maybe it was just bad wording from my side here.

The highlights for me was her song, Shadow Warriors 2, Expeditions Vikings, Darksiders 1 & 2.

Pretty pleased with the games although Capitalization 2 is not what i would ever try but will give it a shot for 5 minutes.

Excuse me but how do you convert a game into a gift after purchasing it ? I know you can do it when you buy the game only.

I got some pretty good games, but ended up just asking for a refund on all of the ones that were Steam duplicates for me, which was like 6 out of the 12 I bought!

I kept the rest, even if they weren't interesting to me. I'll explore them and hopefully be pleasantly surprised by a couple of them. It is a gamble after all and I'm happy for the partial refund for useless dupes in my library.

Now to determine what to get with the Wallet funds...

I believe MarkoH01 said GOG Support can do it.

I'd ask around first before converting all of them, only about 8 or so would be in demand from what I've seen.

Yes, I did say this. However it was ONE game I asked them to convert. According to the rules it is not possible so they might do it and they also might reject it. Not sure how they behave when you try to convert several games. Like I said before: I would have loved it if GOG had given out codes in the first way. This way no Pinata would be a lost one or one you would try to get a refund for. Pretty sad GOG decided to go the "add to library and let them hide the game or ask for refund" route.

I have to say I have pretty bad luck lol. I own KB on steam and honestly didn't care much for it, and Conquests is a 1989 Sierra adventure game that I doubt I'll ever play (it still has the type in text interface that I didn't particularly like even in 1989). Oh well I am done with pinata now, so good luck to all who are still trying their luck.
