ciemnogrodzianin: Which desktop do you prefer? I'm using MATE in Mint, but I'm always looking for nice compromise between old-good-gnome look and performance. Is Budgie significantly faster than MATE? Any issues or problems (since it's still quite young project)?
MATE is a bit faster (boot times, memory usage, etc.) than Budgie, but only slightly. I prefer Budgie because of its simplicity and elegant design. Besides, it's very user friendly with sane default settings whereas with MATE you have to do some tinkering around to get things work to your liking.

So far, over a 6 months usage, I have had no major issues with either desktop environments, save for a few minor ones and most of which are fixed in recent updates.
Adamhm,

Linux needs to be the future of gaming.

M$ stinks. They're getting rid of Win7 now? I'm still with XP and wouldn't want any later M$ OS's. Major kudos to your work with getting games Linux-freindly.

I might try Mint again, this thread makes me want to. I understand your wrappers are 64-bit only though.? I'm trying Ubuntu right now and this particular distro is getting on my nerves.

My requested game for the giveaway:

1. Since Arma series isn't on GOG (IIRC, Arma2 has DRM), I'm asking for Jazz Jackrabbit 1 or 2 (which ever one of the series is best).
2. Blade Runner

Thanks again adamhm!

True, I'm always make a lot of changes in MATE to make it close to old Gnome2 layout. Perhaps I should try Budgie once again. Last time I was looking at Bugdie in live-session I had the impression that it is unfinished. Thanks!
Thank you for another giveaway, adamhm! I'd like to be in for:

Thank you for the giveaway and for the linux guide. I'm going to be switching to linux after the holidays. New OS for a new year.

Please enter me for
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition Deluxe
My times with Linux were short but awesome. I tried Linux Mint 13 back when it was the "new stuff", and I loved it. It was around 6 months where I just felt free with the PC, however, due to specific sofware needs (like Sony Vegas) I had to go back to Windows, and since I was using Windows like 95% of the time, I had to abandone Linux. Still the memories are awesome, and am currently looking forward to having some free time to try the new Mint version, and the new Ubuntu now that they went back to gnome, and Lubuntu too...

If I qualify, I'd like to be in for:

-System Shock 2
-Blade Runner
-Deus Ex
-Rayman Origins
-Alan Wake & American Nightmare
Uh, I'm still on 17 on my laptop but it works great and honestly... I'm scared to update it (I guess reinstall would be easier? But I have Windows there also so probably not at all...).

As for Giveaway, I will try my luck for:
- SWAT 4: Gold Edition
- Blade Runner

Thank You!
I'd like to be in for:

(In order of priority)

call of juarez games would be nice. MS and windows 10 is cancer that need to be cured. It is good to support more linux gamers, once there is enough people then there will be market and developers will start making games for linux in frst place not threat them like second class citizens!
It is indeed a great time to use a Linux distro.

I'm in for Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive.
I'll try my luck on these:

Thanks for the giveaway!
Count me in for Arma: Cold War Assault + Arma: Gold Edition + Arma 2: Combined Operations, meow.
