Furthermore, the collapse of Native American civilizations still happen without unfriendly visitors and Asia is similarly unchanged. When World War 2 happens, refugees hoping to find shelter from Hitler's conquest discover that the entire Western Hemisphere has been conquered by Japan and large parts have been sold to their allies in Germany and Italy. Long story short: the bad guys win.
