I guess a longstanding customer, with a vast catalogue of purchased games on here has every right to complain. I guess the fact that you still have 28 days left till your refund period expires give little relief, considering you'll receive better service and a whole 2 hour refund period from that other store...

Yeah, I can see your logic...

k00rt1983: I don't Trust GOG anymore either, Steam is MUCH better. GOG advertises "Guaranteed 30 Day money back guarantees" What a load of Crap! Been waiting 2 days for a Refund that has not even been Accepted OR Denied yet. and YES I DID SUBMIT IT, Several Times. At least Steam does NOT LIE. If you buy a game on Steam and want a Refund, you can literally GET a Refund. GOG Jicks you around for days after they've "Taken the Money and Ran." This GOG WebPage is a JOKE, Excellent Customer Support? NOT. If a Game crashes constantly, and has been purchased 2 days ago, why waste people's time and money by screwing around with "Workarounds?" Some of us actually Value our Time. You have ALL those employees and yet struggle on a Single Refund Order? What an UnProfessional Joke. I personally will only spend Money on Steam from now on, no more GOG Con Artist support here.
Wow, 122h on two games, and now throwing the toys out of the cradle over not getting an immediate response whilst there is a global epidemic and it’s the weekend! You my friend are the pinnacle of evolution, I am so envious that steam will have the pleasure of your company.

I'm starting to think that way,i just joined and ordered seven different games, the titan quest anniversary edition and the followups to it ,atlantis and ragnarok.
i also got grim dawn and two of the witcher games. of the seven games i downloaded only the two witcher games worked. i have sent request to support and have only been told to waitl longer and they will contact me . i have asked for a refund to my paypal now and can't seem to get that..i guess my next move is to go to paypal and complain about not getting what i paid for, perhaps paypal will not allow them to use any of there services.. heck i don't know i'm new to this and quite confused .. peace all

Its a quite new and a manual case by case viewed policy; not an automatic one. All on top of a global crisis which encourages people to stay home to neither spread or catch the disease. I too have a service case (something else though) open for a few days by now by I'm sure they will sort it out.

Hmm, not sure, let's try.

Yes we will repay you your money or not.

You were right, it is not that hard to say it after all.

You do realize there's a pandemic going on and staff is likely reduced to avoid personal contact, right? Also, they have probably seen an increase in tickets due to more people being stuck at home. More tickets, fewer workers, means they don't know your ticket exists yet. They'll get to it after the others who submitted tickets before you, I'm sure.

Rather than immediately going for a refund, care to elaborate which games exactly do not “work”, and provide some details on what does not “work”? For instance, I have Titan quest, grim dawn both installed on windows 10 and both work perfectly fine. In fact I have a library here exceeding 1000 games, and very few actually have any issues.

What you need to remember is that pc gaming is not console gaming, almost everyone’s setup is different and if you have issue it’s quite likely to be issues on your end. Simply try, doesn’t work, refund, helps neither you, gog, nor in fact anyone else who might have the same issue as you. Take a little while to work out why you have issues, ask the community, look in the game sub forum to see if others have had the issues etc.

There are some things you can try off the bat:
Don’t use galaxy, use the offline installers and run from the exe.
Never install anything to program files or program file 86 (or in fact any other windows folders).
Ensure all dependencies are installed, physx, directx, c++ extensions.
Ensure all drivers are up to date.
Ensure you system meets the minimum criteria including OS.
Avoid using mods or patches until you are sure the game works.

If you need help to install the games your nephew and you could use a remote desktop tool and a phone :-)

I can recommend AnyDesk, which doesn't require installing (but you can) and is free for personal use. I use it both at work and privately, and many of my customers came to like it too because it's so easy to use and not as "naggy" as ie. TeamViewer.
