I think this one needs a special presentation, my vote goes to:

"Hey gamers, do you feel like there isn't enough shovelware on Steam Greenlight? HB presents Humble Make Your Own Cringy Game Bundle."
... and now I can see this on the general list.
I am actually wondering if I can make a non-game app with AGK2... it looks like parsing JSON would be a chore, though.
I picked up RPG Maker bundle earlier this year or last year, but other than possibly trying Construct 2 eventually I'm just going to stick with Unity in my free time.
I might go with the basic tier for that RPG Maker's 90% off coupon. But they didn't explain where we could use the coupon. On Steam, or directly on RPG Maker website ?

Erm...

Get 90% off coupons for RPG Maker 2000, RPG Maker 2003, and RPG Maker XP in the Humble Store!
NOTE: In order to redeem these coupons, you must have a Humble Bundle account or set up a Humble Bundle account using the same email address you used to purchase the bundle. These coupons will expire on October 21, 2015.

EDIT: These are the RPG Maker games on the Humble Store

Why do they only offer a DRM-encumbered version of Crimzon Clover when a DRM-free version exists? (I actually have it in my gog.com account.)

(This is assuming I read the first post correctly, as I didn't actually follow the link.)

Oh. My mistake. Thank you. I was lazy reading all of those text so I just scanned through (I only knew about when the coupon will expire), and didn't thought they already sells RPG Makers on humble store.

Now I am wondering which RPG Maker I should buy. Well, I guess 2003 is the best bet.

No, you're right. They only provide Steam key for Crimzon Clover.

I wonder why they include that game in the first place.. perhaps because it is an indie game made by game dev tools in current bundle.

Sooo.... does anyone know if any of this is any good?

I used to play around with RPG Maker (2000 I think, though possibly 2003) years ago and found it quite fun but very limited. Has much changed with the newer ones?
Would I be able to, for example, dump the combat system entirely and put something else in, like a turn based roguelike one?

It's somewhat tempting as it's under £8 so it's not much of a loss even if it's not great...
Jim Sterling must be rubbing his hands in glee this week.
Tempting to mess around with, but it all still involves way more talent than I actually have.

Wish Construct 2 was in there, I love Construct Classic and would like to be able to export an Android apk. The App Game Kit here looks much more complex.

When searching at the Humble store RPG Maker 2000 is the only one that shows as DRM-free - the others are Steam only (it appears to me).

Yes it is. Maybe... because it is a very old version ?
Well, in this case, I don't really mind using Steam for them. But of course, would be better if they provide DRM-Free version on other versions too.
