unnerved: Just bought this and gave it a small run with M&M1. I can see that it will be immensely useful for my old rpgs. However there is one thing that I could still do more easily on paper and that is rotating the map. If I can rotate the map into the direction that I am facing in the game it makes it a lot easier for me to navigate and fill in new sections of the map. is this a feature that we could possible get in a future version?
This feature is already implemented. Go to Edit > Tranform > Rotate

Thanks, I'm glad you're finding it useful :-)

As well as the feature that Zacron pointed out I did also have in mind to add a non-editing view rotate function similar to that found in Photoshop CS4 and up - where the view itself is rotated rather than the underlying map data. It could get a bit complicated, but I'll definitely consider adding it after the Touch edition is released.
For anyone interested, here is a link to an image exported from Grid Cartographer Pro v.1.4.0:
Also, this is the actual overworld map of Might and Magic: Book One, as well as the above ground portion of Scorpigal, so if you are wanting to explore the world on your own, you may not want to look at it. (Though honestly, looking at this map, then closing it and trying to play it, you are not going to remember much anyways.)

Link to MediaFire

(Sorry, it's too big to post here, and I want people to be able to see it full size.)

That's awesome, thanks for sharing!

No Problem! I know there are other ways of mapping the game out, but I am using the maps from Might and Magic Grove and copying them in by hand.
Is there a way, without importing custom tiles to have an overlay of Numbers, and Text, right on the map? So like, above Scorpigal, I can actually have it display Scorpigal? Or on the map, I can put numbers that reference a notes page?

Sorry, there aren't other options than this right now. Other than perhaps splitting the maps up and using the filename as a sort of caption? I'm not sure if text annotations will happen as a new feature but I'll make a note of it, just in case - you're not the first person to request it :-)

Okay, And I'm not complaining. I will split the files as I need to for now. Now I just need to figure out how to import more tiles, because I DO have an idea. In a LOT of the old games, everything from M&M to Dragon Wars, and more, there was a system of having to look up paragraphs on different pages. And due to an apparent restriction in the length of notes in the app itself, I want to use numbers to reference a text file. So like in Section A2 of the M&M 1 Overworld, I can put a number on the map, with a note saying look at note 5 on page 4 of the Note Guide. Things like that.
The Android port "Grid Cartographer Touch" has now entered the testing phase. Not long to go now :-)

Purchased, Downloading now. Do you have any plans for Dropbox / Google Drive integration?

Thanks for the support!

My plan today is to investigate adding a 'Share' option to the menu. This will allow saving / sending a map file via e-mail, Dropbox or any other suitable service you have installed.
If anyone is/was having an unpredictable black screen lock-up when starting up Grid Cartographer Touch then I've just released a patch that should fix it. It should appear on the store shortly.

This was by far the nastiest bug I've ever had to face on this project!
