AWG43: Why it's being called the GOG Cut? This is apparently an effort of the modding community (well, except of an installer). Is there anything else I don't understand?
It's Daggerfall Unity with a specific number of specifically enabled mods (there are many more mods available). Thus GOG is calling it a "GOG Cut." That's all. ;)

Thanks for this release, Gog and modders.
Some of the mods listed look interesting to try out. I'm happy Daggerfall is still being worked on 26 years after its release.

Nice one, thank you GOG. I hope to see the light of OpenTESArena Project with pre-installed mods but it could take a while.

EDIT: For some reason the game can no longer be added into cart, 1 item in cart instantly removes back to 0.

This post on the GOG forum suggests that the CompUSA quests and other improvements found in the UESP version may not be included in the GOG cut of Daggerfall Unity.

Can anyone confirm if they are in there?

Pretty disappointing that this version includes a whole bunch of unofficial third-party mods that are on by default. This isn't even default Daggerfall Unity, it's some ultra-modded abomination with upscaled textures that make my eyes bleed.

That's very cool. Just watched the entire video, and it actually looks like something I'd actually try. I'm certainly not interested in the vanilla Daggerfall experience as it's too antiquated and quite broken. Thanks GOG, modders, and the Unity project. :)

SmashManiac: The "You Can Pet The Cat" mod is listed twice on the store page. The corresponding mod list should be fixed and cleaned up.

edit: afaik there were two mods GOG did not get permission to include and have now been removed. So I think the GOG release is now in the clear? (obviously GOG made a mistake but it seems they've corrected it)

Apparently some modders are not happy about their mods being included?
