Bookwyrm627: Quick, tick off both sides because I don't look bad enough yet!

Assume for a moment that Hijack is indeed town jailer. I can actually understand his decision to hold his action.

.............
Nope. Jailer role is tantamount to Doctor with side effects. To "hold his action" is not town.

avatar
RWarehall: If you believe he is town, you then have to believe he is a Jailkeeper who for no real reason didn't use his power night one. This makes no sense, if he suspected me, then why didn't he block me? His excuse doesn't make any sense. If he is town, then he played very poorly night 1.
avatar
Krypsyn: It actually makes a lot of sense to me. I may have done the same thing in his position. We had no lynch on Day 1, so there was little on which to base a jailing. Furthermore, since we didn't get a friggin' lynch (yes, I am still bitter), we need all the information that we can get on Day 1. Acting totally blind on Night 1 with a jailing ability can be quite detrimental to town in terms of information gathering. I believe this is essentially what HijacK gave as his rationale, and I see nothing horribly wrong with it given the circumstances.

..................
Okay I'm calling it.

Scum team: HijacK, Bookwyrm627, Krypsyn.
avatar
RWarehall: I'm also rather worried by this quote...
I'm glad you've "worked it out"...
This sure reads like a scum tell...
I agree that does.

I was also perplexed by his post here, I still can't think of a good reason to want a crisis to occur and him being willing to take the chance of losing a townie on the pretense of a hidden dispatcher is a very bad play if he is town.

He also made an odd comment to me here. At the time I thought he was just trying to be cute, but now it seems he might have been trying to say "Hey I'm a droid". That in itself is not bad, but the assassin comment is what struck me as off and I am starting to think he might actually be an assassin droid.
avatar
flubbucket: Scum team: HijacK, Bookwyrm627, Krypsyn.
I am pretty sure there is at least one scum in there.
avatar
Bookwyrm627: I'm really surprised Hijack seems not to have realized this, and that makes me suspicious.
Oh, I realized it, but take it this way. I assume someone's scum based on day 1 interaction. That's not something strong by any means. I block them. I end up being wrong and they actually are a town investigative role. You see, I don't think judging these types of targets based on day 1 info is smart. It has the potential to tangle the web of information more and more instead of untangling it.

agentcarr16: HijacK, Mr. Jailer. Was there no one that you felt was acting intruder-like yesterday? Seems to me that you held a vote when Night came. So then why didn't you use your abilities on the person that you felt was most likely to be an intruder?
Because it is basic common sense to take in consideration the fact that one may be wrong. You know, especially after an unsuccessful day 1?

avatar
agentcarr16: HijacK, I don't care who started what or how bad you were insulted. If a player feels the need to quit playing and drop out of the forum because of you, you're doing something wrong.
Grab a ticket, stand in line, I don't give 2 actual shits.
avatar
drealmer7: I find it to be exceedingly accurate and True.

Were you not aware that playing a game with a bunch of people you don't know might be annoying or other negative things at times? In a game of suspicion, accusation, and manipulation? Do you want everyone to play the same way?
avatar
CarrionCrow: Hmm. So, you're saying that negative aspects are just part of the game, and as such, attempting to be polite, civil and at least decent to play with if not pleasant isn't required?
Negative aspects are part of the game is what I'm saying, there is going to be some antagonism and heat among a group this big, especially given the situation (the majority of us are trying to work together, but there are people mucking it up among us!) but, I guess I just should have asked you:

what has offended you so much that you wish to leave the game?

I don't ever think storming out of the discussion when we're all in this together is a good choice. I am simply trying to understand better, I should have phrased the question to you better/more directly.

I understand RWarehall's position a bit better, even though I don't agree with it to leave, yours I'm more cloudy on the reasoning. RWarehall, if you are really captain, I hope your duties get passed along to another crew-member if you do end up leaving, but I hope you ultimately stay somehow. Rather than replacing you, QUAD could simply pass any duties/rules/abilities you might have to another of your faction/alignment.

avatar
Krypsyn: Acting totally blind on Night 1 with a jailing ability can be quite detrimental to town in terms of information gathering.
This is what I'm still trying to understand in regards to JMich blocking me. It seems to me that you knew I was suspicious of you, feared what I might do to you at night and wanted to take the offensive on me. You didn't believe I was the role I claimed, and feared what I really might be and wanted to make sure I couldn't use whatever possible neferious power I might have overnight? If I were an intruder, I wish I thought to play that smart at the very start of my first game~! That would be really BOLD. But nope, I'm not and sorry I raise your suspicion so high. I still can't reason that you thought I was scummiest of all on day 1. (oh I see RW made similar statements upon a refresh of the log.)

Either conveniently or not for you, JMich, I was unable to perform my investigational duties, and so, with no evidence, I must

Unvote JMich.

More and more I am thinking that there might be 3 factions at play here, and that is also part of what was not revealed in dedoporno's flip. Either Q.U.A.D. continues to malfunction with the state of this station and isn't able to disclose full information, or someone hindered all of it from being revealed. Droids, intruders, crew?

Perpahs in these numbers

4 Intruders
4 Droids
8 Crew

With this I would think that would mean that there are 2 "informed minorities", opposing each other AND trying to take over the station/remove the crew as opposing and combined goals. A very weird situation, perhaps.

I'll refrain from posting my very fluid list of who goes where at this point in time, unless anyone wants to hear THOSE pontifications from me, then I will share.

I do understand how my not being fully forthcoming earlier can seem scummy, but I just didn't want to blurt out everything. I honestly don't like that JMich probed me as he did to find out about me. Had I something to report, I would have, I guess he wanted a confirmation of his own actions and I gave in to letting him know, but, what should I have done? Lied or ignored it? I really don't know. Anyway, it's gone how it's gone now and I am fine with that, really.

(this is why I RP it as "remembering" after being knocked unconscious, because it works in context, and is an honest explanation of why I didn't come forth in a fun way, I think it works great, personally, and I'm having fun with it!)

So, back to it:

who to vote for as most likely intruder, I have no solid ideas at this point, there are too many distractions keeping us all from getting to the problem at hand. I really think we need to try and avoid a crisis and get our dirty duty done (ohyeah!) dililigently (no, I'm not bloodthirsty, just, trying to get things on focus and moving after all the distractions.)

I do think either adalia or bookwrym are an intruder, maybe Ix or agentcarr. Or at least that ONE their flips will be most valuable either way than someone else's at this point (and this is just a pragmatic thing you must realize in a situation like this. And I'm still waiting for more to develop before voting, obviously.)

Here's another theory. Perhaps the intruder problem is causing the droid malfunction (read: it is why the droids might be a split faction from the regular crew, where as they normally serve crew), and if so, if we are able to remove the intruders, maybe the droids will fall back in line.

HijacK: Grab a ticket, stand in line, I don't give 2 actual shits.
You actually give a single one?

Oh, right, you are young... you haven't started running out yet... ;)
avatar
Krypsyn: You actually give a single one?
Eh, gotta stop by the bathroom once in a while.

Forever 21?.... No?

flubbucket: Scum team: HijacK, Bookwyrm627, Krypsyn.
avatar
Krypsyn: I am pretty sure there is at least one scum in there.
Agreed.

I'm not sure of the fourth.
Ooohhh, why not! If there are 3 factions, or even if not, here is my breakdown CURRENTLY

Droids - flubbucket, dedoporno, JMich, possibly agentcarr16 mayb even krypsyn, but I think:

maybe krypsyn is a solo aligned character or some sort of rogue element

Intruders (of course it can only be 4 I know, so there are just more and less likelihoods in no particular order) - CarrionCrow, Bookwyrm627, adaliabooks, trentronlf, vitek, Ix

less likely intruder/more likely crew (but still not sure!):

Rwarehall, mchack, yogsloth, myself

No real feelings/thoughts about HijacK as far as his alignment goes anyway, but given this list I would guess he could be crew too and he and RW are really feeding into the intruders plans!

Heh.

Not a droid, most definitely not scum
avatar
HijacK: What's the freezing temperature?
Yes. Inquiring minds want to know.

I knew there must be a catch to your line, so I googled it and this turned up. Not sure how to feel about that. :P
