drealmer7: I find it to be exceedingly accurate and True.
Were you not aware that playing a game with a bunch of people you don't know might be annoying or other negative things at times? In a game of suspicion, accusation, and manipulation? Do you want everyone to play the same way?
CarrionCrow: Hmm. So, you're saying that negative aspects are just part of the game, and as such, attempting to be polite, civil and at least decent to play with if not pleasant isn't required?
Negative aspects are part of the game is what I'm saying, there is going to be some antagonism and heat among a group this big, especially given the situation (the majority of us are trying to work together, but there are people mucking it up among us!) but, I guess I just should have asked you:
what has offended you so much that you wish to leave the game?
I don't ever think storming out of the discussion when we're all in this together is a good choice. I am simply trying to understand better, I should have phrased the question to you better/more directly.
I understand RWarehall's position a bit better, even though I don't agree with it to leave, yours I'm more cloudy on the reasoning. RWarehall, if you are really captain, I hope your duties get passed along to another crew-member if you do end up leaving, but I hope you ultimately stay somehow. Rather than replacing you, QUAD could simply pass any duties/rules/abilities you might have to another of your faction/alignment.
Krypsyn: Acting totally blind on Night 1 with a jailing ability can be quite detrimental to town in terms of information gathering.
This is what I'm still trying to understand in regards to JMich blocking me. It seems to me that you knew I was suspicious of you, feared what I might do to you at night and wanted to take the offensive on me. You didn't believe I was the role I claimed, and feared what I really might be and wanted to make sure I couldn't use whatever possible neferious power I might have overnight? If I were an intruder, I wish I thought to play that smart at the very start of my first game~! That would be really
BOLD. But nope, I'm not and sorry I raise your suspicion so high. I still can't reason that you thought I was scummiest of all on day 1. (oh I see RW made similar statements upon a refresh of the log.)
Either conveniently or not for you, JMich, I was unable to perform my investigational duties, and so, with no evidence, I must
Unvote JMich.
More and more I am thinking that there might be 3 factions at play here, and that is also part of what was not revealed in dedoporno's flip. Either Q.U.A.D. continues to malfunction with the state of this station and isn't able to disclose full information, or someone hindered all of it from being revealed. Droids, intruders, crew?
Perpahs in these numbers
4 Intruders
4 Droids
8 Crew
With this I would think that would mean that there are 2 "informed minorities", opposing each other AND trying to take over the station/remove the crew as opposing and combined goals. A very weird situation, perhaps.
I'll refrain from posting my very fluid list of who goes where at this point in time, unless anyone wants to hear THOSE pontifications from me, then I will share.
I do understand how my not being fully forthcoming earlier can seem scummy, but I just didn't want to blurt out everything. I honestly don't like that JMich probed me as he did to find out about me. Had I something to report, I would have, I guess he wanted a confirmation of his own actions and I gave in to letting him know, but, what should I have done? Lied or ignored it? I really don't know. Anyway, it's gone how it's gone now and I am fine with that, really.
(this is why I RP it as "remembering" after being knocked unconscious, because it works in context, and is an honest explanation of why I didn't come forth in a fun way, I think it works great, personally, and I'm having fun with it!)
So, back to it:
who to vote for as most likely intruder, I have no solid ideas at this point, there are too many distractions keeping us all from getting to the problem at hand. I really think we need to try and avoid a crisis and get our dirty duty done (ohyeah!) dililigently (no, I'm not bloodthirsty, just, trying to get things on focus and moving after all the distractions.)
I do think either adalia or bookwrym are an intruder, maybe Ix or agentcarr. Or at least that ONE their flips will be most valuable either way than someone else's at this point (and this is just a pragmatic thing you must realize in a situation like this. And I'm still waiting for more to develop before voting, obviously.)
Here's another theory. Perhaps the intruder problem is causing the droid malfunction (read: it is why the droids might be a split faction from the regular crew, where as they normally serve crew), and if so, if we are able to remove the intruders, maybe the droids will fall back in line.
