Another bites the dust .

IsoZone went a few months ago. They moved to RetroZone. However there was some issues with an admin there, i'll just post this here:

(BTW, CurbsidePharmacist was a mod at the IsoZone and one of the founders of RetroZone.)

i_hope_you_rot: Isn't RetroZone also dead ?
It is. The link I said above explains why if you want the low-down. But to sum up an admin got in a mood and decided to delete RetroZone. There was apparently alot of name calling etc. But Curbside is working on another site apparently.
Did RetroRoms now go under too?
I was going to make a joke about a fake site called Gnutopia, but apparently it's a real Swedish pro-necrophilia site.

So forget I mentioned it.
IsoZone went down under about a month ago. It is silly really that they closed shop instead of just removing the stupid ROMs. It was by far the best site for abandoned games in the comfortable ISO format. I luckily have most abandonware I was interested in downloaded already but seeing it go just because of some obsessive Japanese company is sad.

There are so many sources for ROMs that closing down a few of them really doesn't matter. But when the collateral damage affects the normal games too, it is sad. The last good source is the "myabandonware" site.

?

I can only find two gnutopias: one seemingly about health (written in Spanish or Portuguese) and one that is a mere site template.

I didn't click any links (esp. given the results), I just looked quickly at the descriptions of what came up when I googled it. ;)

But ...maybe I should be concerned about what Google thinks is a relevant result for me then.

I see. No, it was a likely a blog post in which someone was lamenting a suggestion from a filial of a political youth group, and linking it to the high rate of atheism in Sweden (most posts listed under 'gnutopia' in this blog seems to be about the horrors of atheism).

(And, yes, I suppose I am the kind that actually clicks such a link :p )
